Species: Demon (Fallen Angel)

Eyes: Yellow, with vertical-slit pupils. These are constantly hidden behind sunglasses.

Hair: Black, and impeccably styled.

Sexuality: Omnisexual

Quote: “Funny thing is, I keep wondering whether the apple thing wasn't the right thing to do, as well. A demon can get into real trouble, doing the right thing.”

History Edit

Art by Eldanis
He'd been an angel once. He hadn't meant to Fall. He'd just hung around with the wrong people.

Crowley’s been here since The Beginning. He was once an angel, but after hanging around with the wrong people, he Fell and became a demon and one of Satan’s workforce. He took on the job as the serpent of Eden, tempting Eve to eat the apple. It was here he met Aziraphale, and after a few centuries worth of half-arsed fighting, both came to an Arrangement. The Arrangement allowed them to do their jobs, and each others, while keeping the balance between Heaven and Hell, so they could stay on Earth, which both are rather fond of.

Then the Antichrist was born. Crowley was charged with taking said Spawn of Satan to a nunnery, where he would be switched with a family and be prepared to bring on the apocalypse. Unfortunately, the baby went to the wrong family. Crowley and Aziraphale attempted to bring up the non-Antichrist up with knowledge of both Heaven and Hell, until they realised they had the wrong kid and hit panic stations.

Eventually, it culminated in Crowley making a stand with Aziraphale, the Antichrist and a bunch of humans against the oncoming Apocalypse. Luckily, the Antichrist grew up human and everything went back to normal surprisingly quickly.

Abilities Edit

Crowsnake.jpg
For those of angel stock or demon breed, size, and shape, and composition, are simply options

Most of Crowley’s abilities seem, for the large part, to be used with hand gestures. Sometimes he can also make things happen with a ‘glare’. Why this is was never explained, I assume this helps him focus his abilities better.

Reality Bending This comes in a couple of different flavours, which I’ll list here:
Manifestation: He can wish anything he desires into existence with a mere thought. This is NON APPLICABLE as it’s his loss.
Sending things Away: He can wish anything he wants out of existence, too. Where things end up is hard to say. The human sent by Aziraphale ends up in his family home, but a demon-sending could presumably put the person in a far worse place. Vague canon is vague. Due to his own morality, Crowley tends not to use this power on sentient beings.
Convenience: Crowley can make reality align accordingly to his desires. I’ll list some examples here: Locked doors become unlocked if he wants inside. If it’s raining; he won’t get wet. Broken items (such as the Bentley) ‘fix’ themselves. If he wants a meal at a restaurant, there will always be a table free.
Switcheroo: He can change one item for another. In the novel, he makes paintball guns turn into real machine guns, and turns a police car’s engine into ‘something surprising’. A crappy wine can become an excellent one. If he can use this on humans or not is never stated, but even if he could, he wouldn’t. I personally don’t use this power, as it borders too closely with his loss.

Shape-shifting
Man-shaped form: Crowley’s favourite form. This is the body he was given by Hell to walk Earth in, to allow him to maintain a corporeal shape. If this body ever belonged to a real person is unstated, it’s empty for Crowley’s use, regardless. An average looking human male in his late twenties, though his eyes remain serpentine (“Yellow eyes with slitted vertical pupils were revealed.”) behind his shades. He apparently can’t change this.
True form: Much like his man shaped form, with the addition of large, feathery wings – allowing him flight.
Serpent form: A small green serpent, with the ability to speak. I use a white-lipped tree viper for his snake PB.
Demonic form: It’s never described in the novel, other than being terrible enough to make a grown man faint on sight of it. I’ve headcanoned it to be a giant snake-like creature, as all his other forms keep the touch of snake about them. Something like this.
Others: He can also make himself small enough to zip through a phoneline. Yeah, idk, he will probably never use this in Para, especially considering the castle’s bizarre wiring system. He doesn’t want to get himself trapped.

Healing
Crowley can heal himself and others from almost anything. He can also sober himself up instantly, no matter how blotto he gets. He’s also shown to ‘breathe life’ back into a dead dove. Whether he can or would do this for humans is never stated. This also makes him immortal – he’s WELL over six thousand years old.

Mental abilities
Desire reading/tempting: Crowley can sense the desires of others, and use these to tempt people into doing what he wants them to. This is by no means mind control; as he’s adamant things have to be that person’s choice, but he can make things seem like a really good idea.
Hypnotism: He can also hypnotise people with a snap of his fingers, in order to get information from them they otherwise can’t or won’t give freely.
Possession: Crowley can leave his body and possess others. It’s more of a mind-share than a full on possession, allowing the host to share control of their body. He can’t choose who to possess, the process is random, if he wants a specific person, he has to body-hop before he lands in them.

Miscellaneous powers
Hellfire: What it says on the tin, Crowley can produce hellfire, usually from his fingertips. It burns hotter and faster than regular fire. He also seems impervious to any fire himself, he never gets burned.
Angelic powers: He can ‘cover’ for Aziraphale, performing miracles and causing ‘divine ecstasy’ in people. Obviously he rarely does this, because he’s got his demonic pride.
Enhanced senses: Crowley can see in complete darkness. As a snake, presumably he can sense things like heat and has a good sense of smell. He’s also stronger than a human being, and has very fast, snake-like reflexes.
Going Unnoticed: He can also make himself 'Unnoticed' not invisible, but like that thing you only see in the corner of your eye. People can still smell and sense him like this, they'd just have trouble SEEING him.

Personality Edit

“I’ll have known, deep down inside, there was a spark of goodness in you”
“That’s right,” said Crowley bitterly. “Make my day.”

There is a very high possibility that Crowley does not like you. Or at least, that is what he’ll tell you. Crowley likes to keep a very demonic ‘couldn’t care less’ front about himself. Unfortunately, he does care, much to his own distaste. Six millennia of mingling with humans has given him a much more human outlook on life. As Hastur points out, he’s “gone native.”

But just because he’s more human than most demons doesn’t mean he doesn’t do demonic things. His job is to create low-grade evil, mostly by annoying people, a tradition he keeps on in Paradisa. If he sees an opportunity to tempt someone into doing something they shouldn’t, he’ll take it. And love every second of the resulting chaos. He never does anything that can physically harm someone though, claiming it’s “just not fun that way.” In reality, he’s far too fond of the human race to really hurt them. Blood and death make him queasy.

He never really thinks ahead to the future, and tends to be very impulsive, often landing himself into much deeper water than he would have if he’d bothered to plan something through first. He also has a tendency to ask questions he really shouldn’t be asking, and adores having a theological debate with someone.

Crowley is very careful about who he lets his guard down around. Very few residents get to see the nice guy underneath all the swagger and arrogance. Voluntarily, on Crowley’s side, anyway. Of course, anyone pointing out his nicer side will meet with sulking and a hefty heap of denial. Crowley might be aware of his Spark of Goodness, but it doesn’t mean he wants to acknowledge it.

Your car is on fire - bits and pieces Edit

TheBentley.jpg
“Oh all right,” said Crowley wretchedly. “No one’s actually going to get killed. They’re all going to have miraculous escapes. It wouldn’t be any fun otherwise.”

  • He owns a 1926 Bentley, which he has had from new. This is his most prized possession in the world. He never needs to fill it up with petrol. All tapes left in the Bentley over a fortnight turn into ‘Best of Queen’ albums. It lives on the castle grounds. Touch it and there will be Hell to pay. Literally
  • He has a bit of affinity with plants. Meaning that he heard that talking to them helps them grow better. Crowley took it a step further into actually threatening them to grow better. Crowley always grows nice, if mortally terrified, plants.
  • He has a rather large weakness for shiny, expensive things. These things usually prove to be quite useless.
  • Some of his contributions to mankind include: Welsh language television, game shows, the M6 Orbital Motorway, record keeping and Manchester.
  • Holy water causes him severe problems. Such as melting. Things that are blessed, and holy light will also cause him pain.
  • Crowley likes to sleep. A lot. Especially after a large meal, seems some snake-y instincts stay put. Speaking of which, he can do weird things with his tongue. He also has a tendency to hiss when he forgetssssss himsssssself.
  • His favourite TV show is the Golden Girls. Followed closely by Cheers. He will not appreciate you mocking this. At all.
  • Crowley’s hand-me-down zoo include Eve the Ekans, cats Ace (previously Castiel’s) Aleta, and The Other One (Both previously Donna Noble’s) and Marc the Mexican Hairless (previously Amanda Tannen's)
  • The Bentley has currently been:
  • Crowley smells of infernal musk, red patchouli, lilac cologne, mahogany, lemon rind, oakmoss, leather, and vanilla husk. No, really
  • He owns a CD which he took from the Lost Room. He has an epic hatred for it thanks to the lyrics, but wishes to keep it in case it ever does something interesting.
  • He wears a pendant, a dark purple gem and a gold chain, all the time under his clothes. Given to him by Allen, it's to hopefully stop any further controlling of his mind after the Griffith incident.
  • He has a key to the TARDIS, he used to wear it around his neck but after aforementioned Griffith incident, he keeps it in his room.
  • Things Crowley has put on Castlenet via hacking:
  • Crowley’s ex-spouses from the Polygamy Loss are: America (Hetalia), Bad Girl (No More Heroes), Amanda Tanen (Ugly Betty), Grimjow Jeagerjaques (Bleach), Martha Jones (Doctor Who), Ned (Pushing Daisies), Paige Matthews (Charmed), Pepper Pots (Iron Man Movieverse) and Hallin Tavers (Star Wars)
  • Previous lovers, gone home but never forgotten: Amanda Tanen (Ugly Betty), Ninth Doctor (Doctor Who) and Castiel (Supernatural).
  • Since getting beaned with a rosary by 01 he has a very faint scar on his left cheek, two lines that meet at the bridge of his nose. You have to be pretty close to see them, but they’re there.

Relationships Edit

Art by Redpyre
“Just remember I’ll have known that, deep down inside, you were just enough of a bastard to be worth liking.”

CanonEdit

  • Adam Young - The Antichrist. Expects Crowley to behave himself and not mess with people as much as he used to. Crowley finds this amusing. Still, Adam is a bloody terrifying little thing.
  • Aziraphale - His counterpart on Earth and constant companion.. Crowley believes Aziraphale is the only one who will ever understand him properly, and counts the angel as the most important being in his existence. Do not mess with Aziraphale unless you want Crowley feeding you your own left kidney.
  • Death - One of the four Horsepersons of the Apocalypse. Azrael is the only one Crowley can actually bear.
  • Duke Hastur - One of the Dukes of Hell. Crowley made an enemy of him after Crowley did Hastur’s companion, Ligur, in with a bucket of holy water, then proceeded to trap Hastur, humiliatingly, in his ansaphone.
  • Lucifer - His boss. Crowley is very nervous of his boss.
  • Newt – Shadwell’s assistant, now in Paradisa. Crowley will enjoy torturing him, just because.

ParadisaEdit

Crowley speaks to just about everyone. No, really.

Family – The very few people Crowley will trust almost completely and let his guard down around. Fuck with them and he’ll END you.

  • Allen - One of the few people in existence who Crowley trusts completely. Allen’s a pseudo-nephew to him, and even if he’s honest, heroic and doesn’t always get sarcasm (things Crowley is happy to mock him for) he’s a good kid. He’ll do just about anything Allen asks of him.
  • Barney – His best friend in Paradisa, along with Faye. Barney often confuses Crowley with his random ideas of ‘awesomness’, but he knows Barney has always got his corner, and he offers the same.
  • Delirium – She left then returned, but she still remains one of Crowley's most favourite beings in existence. He doesn't always understand what she says, but if he did, he'd be very worried about his sanity.
  • Doodle Girl – She’s got a bit too much of a good heart for Crowley’s tastes, but despite that he does enjoy her company. She’s got a good sense of judgement, too. He knows she can be trusted, and will always have fair and sage advice on whatever problems may arise.
  • Faye – Oh, Faye. Theirs is a complicated relationship, due to their similar temperaments; they end up arguing a lot. They had an enormous falling out, but the events of the Berserk world change finally fixed the relationship again. Recently he’s realised her feelings for him (being jumped on twice in one week does that) and after a conversation where a lot more sex was had than actual words, they have a...something. Whatever that is. He’s well aware that he’s probably going to end up falling fast and hard for her, but he’s far less afraid of this knowledge than he ever thought he would be. Trying to define their relationship is a near impossible task, they probably can’t even do it themselves.
  • Uru – DAUGHTER. No, really. Crowley treats her as a pseudo-daughter, and absolutely adores her. Any harm which comes to her will be answered by a very angry demon. He doesn’t understand her cheerful nature (or the hugs that come with it) and often his cynical nature can upset her, but he’d still do almost anything for her.

Friends - Though he is usually loathe to call them such, these are the folks he’d be willing to fight for.

  • Coraline – AKA Pain In The Arse. She’s a sneaky little terror of a child, which of course makes her someone Crowley is willing to spend time with. He tried to keep her safe during the Slenderman attacks.
  • Deadpool - They share a love of the Golden Girls, he also knows Deadpool’s real name. One of the Failtastic Six, spending a week chained to him is not fun.
  • Elektra – One of the Failtastic Six. He’s made it his mission to get her to drink. She’s a smart gal and he’ll even go as far as to listen to her sometimes.
  • Gabriel – The archangel, but from Cas’s world, rather than his own. This Gabe is far more amusing and fun to be around than the one he’s used to. They’re trollbuddies, and have epic snarkbattles.
  • Ino - Originally met her through Vergil, but he’s become fond of Ino in her own right, and counts her as someone worth knowing. She knows how to have a good time, and often sees the funny side of his trolling moments.
  • Lana – A girl he met via Castiel. He’s come to enjoy her company in her own right, she’s a pretty fun gal to hang around. A trustworthy one at that.
  • Lois – He originally got to know her through their mutual trolling of Clark, though he’s come to like her as her own person. He can have a good conversation with her, and she’s less quick to judge as most people are.
  • Nanako – He rescued her from demony doom after they’d both been betrayed by their loved ones. Is quite attached to her, hurt her in any way and he’ll set fire to you
  • Rin – Good old Rin. He enjoys having philosophical discussion with her, and she’s one of the few people who doesn’t irritate him by exploding his good nature on a constant basis. They have an Understanding and he appreciates her for that.
  • Sam - Crowley is good at befriending people who should technically be killing him. Sam has "knowing skills". He tried to help during, and became a host for, Crowley body hopping loss.
  • Vegetable Boy - Crowley’s known him twice now. He might not be Nine, but one day he WILL be, and that makes him worth being kept watch over.
  • Yuan - Another one of those angel-types, but one with Heaven-issues that Crowley can relate to. Crowley chopped his ponytail off once. He’s someone Crowley feels safe talking to, he’ll tell it like it is, and not see things through rainbow coloured glasses.

Acquaintances - Not as close as a friend, he tolerates them and his mocking of them is mostly affectionate.

  • Arthur – THAT Arthur. Pompous little git. Crowley has since learned he’s romantically involved with Allen, and thus has stopped trolling Arthur too much. He’ll still mock him, so sure, but he’s no longer a common target.
  • Cloney – Also known as Billy if Crowley’s feeling generous. Despite his digs about him being Barney’s evil-or-possibly-good clone, they share a similar outlook on life.
  • Cockatoo Boy – Doctor the Tenth. He’s back again, and Crowley’s already delighting himself in trolling the poor bastard.
  • Cross - Allen’s master who just happens to love making Allen’s life hilariously miserable. This makes Cross a magnificent bastard in Crowley’s book and as a result enjoys his company immensely.
  • Felix – Interesting bloke, this, he's got quite the thing with magic.
  • Jo – A hunter. Yes, once agian, Crowley makes buddies with someone who really should be trying to kill him. It's his special skill.
  • Peabody – Doctor the 11th. As with all Doctor’s Crowley feels a need to bother him, refuse to call him by his name or number all while watching out for him. This one’s excitable...with terrible fashion sense.
  • Teresa – One of the Failtastic Six. He saved her life by re-attaching her legs and stopping her from turning into a guts-eating monster. He refuses to acknowledge this act.

Victims/Shitlist – The trolled and/or the hated.

  • Amelia - He takes a certain sort of delight in making her life a misery.
  • Boyscout – Will. Troll. Him. FOREVER. That's what you get for being a nice guy, Clark. That's what you get.
  • Damian – STOLE the Bentley. They've escalated in an unending prank war.
  • Lucy - She shot Nine, he really wanted to hunt her down and cause her a very messy end for that.
  • Spike – From Faye’s world. A bounty hunter Crowley remembers from his last visit to the castle. They didn’t start out on a good foot and continued badly from that point on. Learning Spike tried to kill Faye twice, and Spike not explaining the accidental nature of it has made Crowley put him on the shitlist. Bring it, Space Cowboy :/
  • Zuko – He’s just come back. Crowley’s waiting happily to start screwing with him again. Fun times.
