[edit] History

Crowley’s been here since The Beginning. He was once an angel, but after hanging around with the wrong people, he Fell and became a demon and one of Satan’s workforce. He took on the job as the serpent of Eden, tempting Eve to eat the apple. It was here he met Aziraphale, and after a few centuries worth of half-arsed fighting, both came to an Arrangement. The Arrangement allowed them to do their jobs, and each others, while keeping the balance between Heaven and Hell, so they could stay on Earth, which both are rather fond of.

Then the Antichrist was born. Crowley was charged with taking said Spawn of Satan to a nunnery, where he would be switched with a family and be prepared to bring on the apocalypse. Unfortunately, the baby went to the wrong family. Crowley and Aziraphale attempted to bring up the non-Antichrist up with knowledge of both Heaven and Hell, until they realised they had the wrong kid and hit panic stations.

Eventually, it culminated in Crowley making a stand with Aziraphale, the Antichrist and a bunch of humans against the oncoming Apocalypse. Luckily, the Antichrist grew up human and everything went back to normal surprisingly quickly.

[edit] Abilities

He’s a godmode, I’m sorry. Here is a more thorough rundown of what he can do.

  • Can bring whatever he likes into existence by a mere thought - stolen by Paradisa.
  • Can also make things Go Away.
  • Healing abilities. He brings a dove back to life.
  • Can turn into a small, green snake. Which can talk.
  • Has his ‘true’ form, which doesn’t look much different from his man-shaped form except for the addition of feathered black wings, and occasionally glowing red eyes.
  • He has one more form. It’s something ‘awful’. He doesn’t like to do it in case he forgets how to turn back.
  • He can also abandon his physical body entirely, to travel through phone wires and such.
  • He can sense what people really desire. Helpful for tempting, that.
  • Things tend to just..happen if he wants them to. Like, a chair he sits in will be comfortable, because he assumes it will be. Doors will unlock, because he thinks that’s how they should behave for him. Things get out of his way when he’s driving, because they’re inconvenient otherwise. He doesn’t get wet in the rain, because he doesn’t want to. And so on.
  • Can hypnotise people and get them to tell him what he wants.
  • Can sober up instantly no matter how drunk he is. Assuming he wants to.
  • Can see in the dark.

[edit] Personality

There is a very high possibility that Crowley does not like you. Or at least, that is what he’ll tell you. Crowley likes to keep a very demonic ‘couldn’t care less’ front about himself. Unfortunately, he does care, much to his own distaste. Six millennia of mingling with humans has given him a much more human outlook on existence. Still, image is a must, ‘please’, ‘thank you’ and ‘sorry’ are not words in his repertoire. He’s very cunning and sneaky, and if he sees an opportunity to tempt someone into doing something they shouldn’t, he’ll take it. And love every second of the resulting chaos.

He never really thinks ahead to the future, and tends to be very impulsive, often landing himself into much deeper water than he would have if he’d bothered to plan something through first. He also has a tendency to ask questions he really shouldn’t be asking. ‘Why can’t you eat that apple?’ being one of them. Despite all his posing and arrogant attitude, Crowley’s actually very fond of the human race, and would rather not cause any real harm to anyone. Blood and death generally make him want to get drunk. As Aziraphale points out, there is a ‘spark of goodness’ in him. Just don’t expect him to admit that anytime soon.

[edit] Your car is on fire - bits and pieces

The Bentley
  • He owns a 1926 Bentley, which he has had from new. This is his most prized possession in the world. He never needs to fill it up with petrol. All tapes left in the Bentley over a fortnight turn into ‘Best of Queen’ albums. It lives on the castle grounds. Touch it and there will be Hell to pay. Literally
  • He has a bit of affinity with plants. Meaning that he heard that talking to them helps them grow better. Crowley took it a step further into actually threatening them to grow better. Crowley always grows nice, if mortally terrified, plants.
  • He has a rather large weakness for shiny, expensive things. These things usually prove to be quite useless.
  • Some of his contributions to mankind include: Welsh language television, game shows, the M6 Orbital Motorway, record keeping and Manchester.
  • Holy water causes him severe problems. Such as melting. Things that are blessed, and holy light will also cause him pain.
  • Crowley likes to sleep. A lot. Especially after a large meal, seems some snake-y instincts stay put. Speaking of which, he can do weird things with his tongue. He also has a tendency to hiss when he forgetssssss himsssssself.
  • His favourite TV show is the Golden Girls. Followed closely by Cheers. He will not appreciate you mocking this. At all.
  • Current pets: Eve the Ekans, two cats he inherited from Donna (Aleta, named by Castiel and The Other One), a snake he inherited from the Master and Marc, the Mexican Hairless he originally gave to the departed Amanda.
  • The Bentley has currently been: rolled down a hill (Balrog) given legs and driven into the duck pond (Barney and Del), exploded with a crotch laser gun (Travis) and turned into Dick Turpin (Crowley).

[edit] Relationships

[edit] Canon

  • Adam Young - The Antichrist. Expects Crowley to behave himself and not mess with people as much as he used to. Crowley finds this amusing.
  • Aziraphale - His counterpart on Earth and constant companion.. Crowley believes Aziraphale is the only one who will ever understand him properly, and counts the angel as the most important being in his existence. Do not mess with Aziraphale unless you want Crowley feeding you your own left kidney.
  • Death - One of the four Horsepersons of the Apocalypse. Azrael is the only one Crowley can actually bear.
  • Duke Hastur - One of the Dukes of Hell. Crowley made an enemy of him after Crowley did Hastur’s companion, Ligur, in with a bucket of holy water, then proceeded to trap Hastur, humiliatingly, in his ansaphone.
  • Lucifer - His boss. Crowley is very nervous of his boss.

[edit] Paradisa

Crowley speaks to just about everyone. No, really.

Family – The very few people Crowley will trust and let his guard down around. Fuck with them and he’ll END you.

  • Allen - Allen’s an alright guy. Okay, very sweet and thoughtful, which isn’t Crowley style AT ALL, but he’s trustworthy, and become a sort-of nephew to him. He’s taken to secretly helping Allen with his debt problem by conning and/or tempting folks. Allen knows his True Name, Crowley almost hopes he’ll forget it with that terrible memory of his.
  • Castiel - An angel. Crowley has decided that since he’s spent the last six thousand years of his existence bothering an angel, there is no need to stop now. Once again, he’s made a sort-of friend, Castiel is certainly someone he trusts, almost a replacement Aziraphale. They’ve recently become something a little...more than just friends. Crowley cares about him more than he’ll admit.
  • Claire - Nice kid. New to the immortal game, so Crowley’s been giving her pointers with that. She helps keep his reputation going, and despite her threats to hug him in public, he adores her. He’s adopted her as one of his pseudo little sisters.
  • Barney - This bloke is a bit on the odd side, but Crowley really likes him and his weirdo ‘Bro Code’. He’s trying to learn high-fives, for Barney’s sake. He makes a good drinking partner, too. His best friend in the castle. Barney can NEVER know this.
  • Daine – She’s left and come back, but he still adores her like a niece. She can mind-speak with animals. She understands him FAR too well. It spooks him.
  • Delirium - Already knows her..sort of. It’s hard not to know of one another when you've both existed since before Creation. She’s family. He’s more protective of her since Dream left, taking on a ‘big brother’ role. He even vaguely understands what she’s talking about.

Friends - Though he is usually loathe to call them such, these are the folks he’d be willing to fight for.

  • Bad Girl - He likes her attitude, even if her baseball bat scares him a little bit. Hooray for chaos! One of his wives on the polygamy loss.
  • Faye – Drinking buddy! Crowley admires anyone who can almost keep up with his level of alcoholism and Faye’s one of them.
  • Giselle Crowley opted to spend the winter semi-hibernating in her room. Though it was cut short, he remembers her kindness and considers himself in her debt. She left and came back, but he still looks out for her.
  • John Stewart - Came to the Castle the same time as him. Crowley takes it upon himself to point out to John when he’s being boring, and tries his best to alleviate that.
  • Ino - Originally met her through Vergil, but he’s become fond of Ino in her own right, and counts her as someone worth knowing.
  • Ruby - Fellow demon and Castiel-pesterer. She gave him hand warmers for the winter. He’ll often try to pick up her spirits when she’s feeling down. Demons have to stick together.
  • Sam - Crowley is good at befriending people who should technically be killing him. Sam has "knowing skills". He tried to help during, and became a host for, Crowley body hopping loss.
  • Vergil - He left and came back again, but Crowley sees no reason to discontinuing irritating the crap out of this guy. But in the way he does with people he likes.

Acquaintances - Not as close as a friend, he tolerates them and his mocking of them is mostly affectionate.

  • Agito - A right little punk, but his punkish ways amuse Crowley. Agito calls him Super Black Glasses. He gets along well with Akito, too.
  • Albus - Crowley likes mild-mannered bookworms and Albus is no exception. If Aziraphale won’t stay in Paradisa, then Crowley will just find Aziraphale-like beings.
  • Cloud - He thinks Cloud has a ‘flower person’ name. But it’s mostly friendly mocking Cloud receives.
  • Cloud Nyne - Allen’s boss. They have fun snarking matches and Crowley’s convinced her monkey is out to get him.
  • Deadpool - Crowley helped Deadpool out when he was on a shrinking loss. Deadpool owes Crowley a favour and is prepared to help him get back at James. They share a love of the Golden Girls. He now knows Deadpool’s real name.
  • Euphie - Odd girl, to be sure. She seems to have a fascination with the supernatural. Still, she seems harmless enough.
  • Joshua - Crowley only has the vaguest ideas of what Joshua actually IS, not that Crowley actually makes an effort to find out. He’s not mortal, so gets most of Crowley’s more obscure rants, this is good enough for Crow.
  • Luki – She insists on calling him “Grandpa Crowley” and he’s certain she makes it her mission to make his time in the castle miserable. She won’t leave him alone, man!
  • Pit - Another angel-type person. Crowley collects them. Like stamps. He mocks Pit for his tiny little wings.
  • Vegetable Boy - Crowley’s known him twice now. He might not be Nine, but one day he WILL be, and that makes him worth being kept watch over.
  • Yuan - Another one of those angel-types, but one with Heaven-issues that Crowley can relate to. Crowley chopped his ponytail off once.

Shitlist - Doom on you.

  • Guts - Guy tried to run him through with a sword when they met. Confusingly, Crowley enjoys the mocking banter they share.
  • Lucy - She shot Nine, he really wanted to hunt her down and cause her a very messy end for that.
