Background
Edit
Cassandra Sandsmark was born out of wedlock and raised by her single mother, Helena. Because of the circumstances of Cassie's birth, and the fact that Helena's family disowned them both, her mother can prove a bit overprotective at times. After all, Cassie is all the family she has left.
Although Cassie is athletically inclined, her intelligence and nerdy tendencies make her a bit self-conscious, giving her a bit of a "geek complex." She had a bad haircut, no sense of fashion, and struggled to keep friends. Cassie lived a rich fantasy life, topped off by a strong adoration of super-heroes.
Meeting Wonder Woman (her idol) was something that would change her forever. While Diana of Themyscira was interviewing at Helena's museum for a job as a lecturer, Cassie accidentally activated an ancient Greek robot. It was Wonder Woman who saved her.
Later, Cassie experienced the power of flight when Diana briefly lent her the Sandals of Hermes. On two occasions, Cassie "borrowed" the sandals, as well as the Gauntlets of Atlas, and donned a makeshift costume to aid Wonder Woman in battle. She asked if she could be Wonder Girl, but when her mother threw a fit, Diana refused.
Then, when the ancient Greek gods were trying to decide whether to return to Earth, Diana summoned Cassie to Olympus, and the gods probed her mind for information. While there, the girl requested an audience with Zeus, not knowing at the time that he was her long-absentee father, and got a chance to speak to the god.
Impressed by his daughter's courage at approaching him, Zeus granted her heart's desire: a set of powers similar to Diana's own. At Wonder Woman's behest, the Amazon Artemis, and Donna Troy, the original Wonder Girl, began training Cassie in the proper use of her powers.
Cassie made herself a costume similar to that of Superboy/Kon, who she has a huge crush on, and joined the Young Justice team with Robin, Secret, Impulse, and Superboy himself. Other members of the team have included Arrowette, Empress, Slo-bo, the Ray, and, briefly, Lagoon Boy. With the dissolution of Young Justice after the Graduation Day debacle, Cassie quit, albeit briefly –– after a period of mourning Donna, doing general stuff and occasionally wrestling rogue griffins that follow her to school from Themyscira, Cassie went back to doing the teen superhero thing and joined the new Teen Titans, alongside Robin, Impulse and Superboy, and a few new friends.
After a number of other adventures, the acquisition of a magical lasso fueled by anger, and the revelation that Zeus is actually her father, and dating Kon, things got relatively serious when the entire universe was threatened with a very abrupt, violent end. Superboy-Prime showed up on their world and to "replace" Kon, badly wounding him in the process; while Bart dealt with Prime, Cassie and her friends had to break into one of Lex Luthor's labs to get an antidote that would save him, and luckily, Kon lived. While Robin went to Blüdhaven, Cassie and Kon went to Smallville.
Knowing it could be the end of the world, Cassie and Kon made love (yes, in Clark Kent's barn, ha ha ha) and come morning, Kon set off to meet Nightwing and fly to the North Pole and stop Prime and Alex from destroying the multiverse. Cassie made a quick deal with Ares, the god of war, to get her powers back, and split to join them. The biggest fight of their lives began, and Prime smashed both Cassie and Kon around before Kon–––
Canon point.
Personality
Edit
Cassie is a precocious, clever and outgoing young girl. She loves being a superheroine and wouldn't give it up for anything. Growing up with her single mother, Cassie was raised to be independant and mature, and she’s proven it on many occasions when she’s taken on a leadership role in Young Justice or Teen Titans. She is very driven and makes for a natural leader.
Cassie is stable and dedicated. She loves her friends and is quick to act when they are in trouble, and she will be one of the first to be by their side. Before she was even Wonder Girl, she rushed to help Wonder Woman fight, borrowing tools to give herself powers. When any of her friends are in trouble, she stands by them, emotionally or physically –– wherever she’s needed most. Both as an individual and as a Titan, her friends are what matter most, and she won’t rest until they are safe.
Her status as Wonder Girl is sometimes questioned, as many people preferred Donna Troy to her, but she works around it best she can. Sometimes she has moments of insecurity over it, but she recognizes that the people who see her that way don’t really know her, and don’t understand that she regrets the bad things that have happened, and her “mistakes”, just as much as they do. This keeps Cassie going, and she doesn’t let this stop her.
She can be pretty feisty and bold, and at times she can be driven to talk back to authority. Cassie doesn't like to be cowed or bossed around, and when pushed to it she isn’t afraid to speak or mind or make requests. When she knows what she wants, she’s willing to ask for it.
Despite her generally sweet and caring attitude, Cassie deals with loss poorly, and grief can make her bitter and violent. Her lasso, a gift from her half-brother, the god of war, is fueled by anger, and harnesses the power of lightning, so she can call on anger rather easily. Cassie IS a warrior, and has been recognized as a fully-trained Amazon.
She has a great interest in archaeology and history, and she pursues these at her leisure.

Relationships
Edit
Tim "Robin" Drake –– one of her best friends and founding member of Young Justice. She cares about Tim deeply and, along with Kon, will always be by his side when he needs them. She and Tim tend to be the "leaders" of any group they're in, and they're very good about listening to each other and supporting each others' decisions.
Kon-el/Superboy –– Her sort-of boyfriend. It's complicated; he's from the past, she's from the future, and as a result, their relationship is in two places at once. Regardless of that, Kon is Cassie's love, and she'd do anything for him. Plus he makes her laugh. Dorkface.
Superboy-Prime –– The bastard who tried to "replace" Kon, and apparently manages to kill Kon in the future. Cassie's far from a fan.
Ted Kord The second Blue Beetle, and one half of the infamous Blue and Gold team.
Guy Gardner –– Gross.
Cassie's Room
Edit
Cassie's room is largely like it is back home, but with a bit more of an apartment flair –– there's a kitchenette, walk-in closet and large bathroom just off of it.
The walls are pink with dark brown trim around the top, bottom and doors. The floors are dark purple, and all the furniture is dark brown wood. Continuing with the general girly theme (a theme that is a lot girlier than Cassie herself) she's got a pink bedspread, a mountain of pink pillows, and an inflatable couch.
As far as tidiness goes, Cassie tends to throw her clothes around on the floor and leave them for the ghosts to clean up; they also tend to put her clothes away, because otherwise she just leaves them in the hamper until she wears them.
Her plushies (ranging from a giant stuffed dalmation to a Pikachu to plushes of Superman and Batman) tend to just stay where they're least likely to get stepped on. She also has a Flash pillow.
The walls are pretty much coated in posters for the Space Girls, the Sidestreet Boys, Wendy the Werewolf Stalker, and Xema: The Warrior Princess, as well as pictures of the Flash, Wonder Woman, Superman, Martian Manhunter, Kyle Rayner, and other members of the JLA. Yes, that is really embarrassing. History books and girly magazines line the bookshelf, along with a boom box and a couple snowglobes.
She's also got a considerable amount of sports equipment strewn around.
Yeah, she's kind of a fangirl.
