Cross Marian Debt Fund

Long ago, Exorcist General Cross Marian (of D.Gray-man) resided in Paradisa for several months. During his stay here, he would often spend his time enjoying the luxuries of the town (expensive alcohol, prostitutes, hotels, fine dining, etc etc) - and not paying for a single penny of it. This added to be being a lot of debts, that were left to his idiot apprentice Allen Walker when he departed Paradisa.

However the debts were so large that there was no way a single person could pay them all back. So the kind residents of Paradisa decided to aid Allen out and started the Cross Marian Debt Fund, Paradisa's first and longest running mini-game!

ObjectiveEdit

The objective is simple: Get the debt down to 0.

The RulesEdit

1. Your characters CANNOT get money from the castle for this game. If your character attempts to ask for money from the castle that is meant for this - it will fail. Blame Allen's horrible luck. Otherwise there would be no game.

2. Other than #1, your characters can do WHATEVER THEY LIKE to earn money. Get a job in town (temporary or permanent), gamble, do a charged performance, commit a crime - be creative! However if Allen hears of any attempts that physically harm people - he will turn them into the city police and that will become a setback (explained later).

3. Be reasonable about the amount of money your character earns. You don't have to worry about exact amounts, but do keep in mind - there is no paper boy that earns 1,000,000 a week. The amounts they earn towards the debt fund should be a bit realistic to the type of job/money earning scheme they are doing.

4. Yes, crime and con-artistry is allowed. Allen Walker himself is earning his part by cheating people at cards. Therefore he can't talk if your methods are a bit..shady. However the line is drawn at physical harm towards people. And keep in mind - there's always a chance your shady actions could get caught by the wrong people.

5. SETBACKS CAN HAPPEN. There are ways where instead of lowering the debt, your character can RAISE it. If any characters participating cause property damage in the city, get arrested and need to pay bail, gain debts from failed gambling attempts or have any other mishaps that would result in fees - those fees will get ADDED to the total debt amount. How much the setback is up to the mun.

6. It's up to the mun how their attempts are done In-Game. You can make a giant plot over an attempt, or just imply your character is working in the city. Whatever you feel like doing is fine. The only request is you make a comment in this post under the appropriate thread saying what the character is doing and how much money they are earning or setting it back by so it's easy to keep track :D

7. Any large plots or attempts needs to get mod approval. Pretty much if you feel like something would need mod approval - play it safe and submit to the plot post here.

RewardEdit

Pretty much if this happens if the amount of the debt reaches zero, the reward will vary for each person depending on how throughly involved they've been in making the debt going away.

Anyone who Participated: Will have confetti thrown around them out of no where. If they enter town that day, random townspeople will come up and congratulate and applaud them.

Anyone who Participated 4 weeks/times or more: Will receive a precious item from home. A photograph, a weapon, a device, a pet - it's up to the mun to decide.

Anyone who Participated 8 weeks/time or more: Will have the option of having a free canon update (aka, without a loss or death) if they desire along with the precious item.

Battle of the BarsEdit

With every edition of the Debt Fund some time is taken for a small competition between the businesses that are run by residents who contribute to the debt fund. All their incomes are based on dice rolls, however it's a nice way to inspire competition and plotting between the different businesses. Originally it was only for the two resident-ran bars in Paradisa, but eventually it grew to allow all food and drink service shops while maintaining the original name.

Rules of JoiningEdit

  1. Character must own a business either in the city or the castle that specializes in food or drink services and this must be the main source of income for donations towards the debt fund.
  2. Business must have it's own name to emcompess the entire staff in the results of Battle of the Bars
  3. The income must be a weekly one with a range of either 100 to 10,000 or 200 to 10,000.
  4. If the original owner leaves or gives up ownership, the business can still continue to take part as long as it's still open and being ran by paradisa residents.
