AbilitiesEdit

“I am a shadow. I have no true form. That’s why I’ve borrowed a body for myself from someone else!”

Dainn has a few special powers. His main power and what makes him extremely tricky to deal with in a battle situation is his powers of Possession. With it, he can jump into a person’s body and gain access to everything they have to offer in terms of strengths and weaknesses. He is also capable of body-hoping if need be, though the next body in line has to be close to the one he’s currently in. While inside someone’s body, Dainn himself in incapable of being hurt (aside from a few special cases) and can easily run the person into the ground and not suffer any personal consequences. ...not that he’d want to if he finds someone he really likes. Also, unless your character can sense Darkness/see souls, it’s next to impossible to tell if Dainn possesses someone. It’s also hard to get him out of said person’s body; the choices being either killing the person or hurting them to the point that he can’t use their body anymore. There’s also one major weakness, but that will be explained later.

Here’s a list of pros and cons of his possession ability:

PROS:

* Gains the strengths and any shiny abilities the character being possessed may have.

* Looses the issue with sunlight unless the character is already weak to sunlight.

* Gains a technical hostage because attacks won’t affect Dainn himself and he could just stop possessing them the second a fatal attack would connect. Basically? He can be a huge jerk without many consequences to his own safety.

CONS:

* If a person has a strong enough will, they can boot Dainn out of their body or keep him trapped inside (which is how he died in canon). Also, if the person has a second or more consensus in their mind (Allen Walker and the 14th, for example) they can also kick the Shadow Immortal out since he’s only used to dealing with one mind at a time.

* He gains any weaknesses the character may have, may it be physical or mental. Broken leg? Yeah. Weakness to fire? That too.

* He may not know exactly how someone’s powers may work, making the body hard to operate in battle effectively.

* If Otenko ever comes to Paradisa, he and Django can operate a machine called the Piledriver that can kill Dainn if he’s too weak without harm to the person he’s possessing (again, unless they’re weak to sunlight).

* Ringo’s soul is bound to Dainn’s and can have some influence on the Shadow Immortal’s actions. While he can’t stop Dainn from possessing someone from the get-go, he will try and fight Dainn off if as best as he can. It’s not something to rely on.

*Note: This ability falls under god-moding, so I will contact you to know if it’s okay for Dainn to possess your character or if you’d rather he keep his hands to himself.

Next up is why Dainn has the title ‘Shadow Immortal’. He has no true body of his own and is made literally of shadows. He can phase through walls, floors, and people (which feels rather unpleasant) without any harm to himself. The only thing that can effectively hurt him is sunlight or water.

However, he can create claws made of shadows and these things are solid. They’re meant to drag someone under the floor but Dainn can use them to interact with things he normally can’t. The downside to them is that they can’t really life anything larger than a normal human.

He can also summon Klorofolun, which are small balls of Dark Matter. They come in two flavors: three larger balls that can track a target or a spray of smaller ones that don’t track as well.

CR ChartEdit

“Just like switching between the Sun and Darkness....isn’t that so, Django?”

CanonEdit

Django: Oh, this is a tricky one. Django is Ringo’s son, which didn’t exactly help the whole ‘Ringo’s soul is fused to mine’ thing, and the person that Dainn wants to possess out of everyone in Paradisa – something he got to do when Slenderman came to town but it ended when the castle kicked him out. Django took the smart route and started avoiding him like the plague after the Baby plot by putting up seals on his room and staying away until Dainn cornered him in a hallway one day. And got punched in the face for being a creeper.

Ringo: This man constantly switches between being a major thorn in Dainn’s side, the only part of him that makes him guilty, and someone who is good for conversations. Ringo was the person who Dainn used to fight against Django and Sabata and was the one who died with him while keeping the shadow pinned down in the Piledriver. And now in Paradisa Ringo’s soul is fused with Dainn’s, taking every opportunity to interfere with anything the Immortal does which frustrates him beyond belief but at the same time Dainn doesn’t want to get rid of him just yet, if just to hold it over his son’s head.

Sabata: Ahaha. Django’s twin brother, Sabata and Dainn do not see eye to eye at all. It would most likely end horribly if he showed up in Paradisa.

Duneyrr, Durathror, and Dvalinn: Dainn’s sisters and his Loss. He can’t remember them but if he finds out they’re dead, things will get nasty for a certain Solar Boy.

ParadisaEdit

Allen Walker: The first person in Paradisa that could see Ringo’s soul, a fact that sparked Dainn’s interest in the young man and not in a good way.

Deathwing: The “incarnation of death” and possibly a shadow-creature like himself, Dainn finds Deathwing an interesting thing with enough Darkness to possibly rival his own. Good for teasing as well, though Dainn isn’t aware of the dangers of poking a sleeping dragon...

Clu: Interesting person to taunt. [Gone]

Emil: Okay...he’s an odd one. Originally Dainn planed on possessing him after Emil mentioned his ability to turn everything he sees to stone, and was even more thrilled once the boy’s past was made clear to him as a living weapon. However, Emil is someone who actually enjoys being around the Immortal and someone who takes him out of his comfort zone on a constant basis.

Gino: First person he met in Paradisa and the first person Dainn possessed. Fun to tease and Dainn saved him from getting his head chopped off by Rinzler. [Gone]

Rinzler: Trollololol...

Shizuru: Person who helped him while stuck as a half-cat.

Galadriel: A female elf who is on the complete opposite spectrum that Dainn is. He had an interesting chat with her about Light and Darkness and she told him a bit about the Dead Zone.

Zelman Clock: Another vampire who has an interesting way of describing being ‘dead’. Met him while Zelman was playing with dominos and had a nice chat about monsters when Dainn was done his human loss.
