The BasicsEdit

The Daily Planet
Lois' personality is most heavily influenced by her unusual childhood as an army brat, and her relationship with her father and sister. Living in a military environment with a father who held her to incredibly high standards turned her into the tough as nails, stubborn, irrepressible and incredibly driven person that she is. Since her mother died when she was very young, she was without a real female role model, and it shows in her more aggressively masculine demeanor. She's able to run with the boys in every department: whether kicking butt with karate, winning drinking contests against frat boys, or just holding her ground when anyone tries to boss her around. She's always quick to rise to a challenge; as Clark puts it, when things get difficult, that's when she gets interested. The fact that her father held such a position of authority on the bases that she called home, she took a lot of cues from the way he treated others, and sort of grew up expecting others to respect her authority and follow her orders. She'll often look at everyday situations from a tactical point of view, and is very objective-oriented.

Lois has a strong sense of curiosity and justice, which makes it really difficult to throw her off a scent - a skill that later will serve her in her career as a journalist. This sense of morality no doubt comes partly from growing up in a culture of intense patriotism - although Lois has been known to bend or break a few rules or even laws to achieve that justice. This also might come from her father partly, as he's been involved in some shady practices of his own.

Having been forced to all but raise her baby sister made Lois grow up very quickly, and as a result, she's always ready to take responsibility or take action in situations, and she has very little patience for whiners or those who sit back and expect things to be handed to them. She's fiercely protective of not just Lucy, but of everyone she loves. When she learns of mysterious circumstances surrounding her cousin's death, she immediately launches an investigation for herself, with no hesitation. While she might erect a lot of walls that keep people at arm's length for awhile, when she does dedicate herself to anyone, whether as a friend or lover, her loyalty runs deeply.

Lois talks ... a lot. Her abrasive personality and sharp-tongued sense of humor aren't for everybody, and they occasionally get her into trouble. She's been known to butt heads with authority figures, and she can strike some people as irritating in her persistence and by being so opinionated about... everything. Her spontaneous nature often translates to talking without really thinking things through, and she can be accidentally offensive as a result. Sometimes she's brash to the point of extreme recklessness, and she's been known to throw herself into dangerous situations because she didn't think ahead.

Lois is used to hiding her emotions, since she grew up in an atmosphere where crying equated to weakness. She tends to mask a lot of her feelings behind a wall of sarcasm and humor, and when she does open up about her emotions, there's usually a deep degree of bitterness there. She hides a lot of inner resentment at her father, and how his job always came before his family. Her relationship with her father has a certain degree of distance in it (she only refers to him as "the General" rather than "dad"), which translates to a lot of relationships in her life. One of her greatest fears lies in the thought of ending up in relationships with people who, like her father, will have a destiny and duty that is so much more important than her, that she'll end up left behind constantly. She wants desperately to matter to someone, and it's one reason she drives herself so hard - initially for her father's approval, but increasingly because she wants to prove things to herself, rather than doing them for him. She feels very personally responsible for the poor life decisions her sister had made, and the sort of person she's turned out to be, given that she feels more like a parent than a sister to her. At the same time, she loves her deeply, and continues to have faith in her, always willing to demonstrate pride for the positive things that Lucy does or accomplishes.

Beyond this, her greatest desire is to make a positive difference in the world, which is the strongest motivator for her journalistic endeavors. By uncovering the truth, bringing the bad guys to justice through exposing their deeds to the world, and later on, by assisting the Blur, she finds her own 'destiny' and really comes into her own. In the tenth season of Smallville, the villain Darkseid is unable to possess her because of the strength and purity of her soul and character - at heart, she is quite simply a very good person, no matter how brashly she may come off on the surface.

Lois is a well of pop culture references, which indicates just how much time she's spent watching TV, etc. Her musical tastes veer away from the popular "young" choices, and she prefers the kind of classic rock favored by the military guys she grew up around. 80s rock is her favorite, and Whitesnake is her favorite band. She's known to retreat from problems by turning to alcohol (or sarcasm) and she can out drink college frat boys with ease.

History and Fun FactsEdit

Killer instincts
Lois' early life was spent traveling from one army base to another, because of her father, General Sam Lane. As an army brat, she got to see a lot of the world, but never made a lot of lasting connections.

Her mother, Ella, died of lung cancer when she was only six years old, though Lois does remember her, and also remembers the relationship that she had with her father. She viewed the way her mother stoically accepted the sacrifices Sam Lane made in the line of duty as a model for how a relationship should be ideally be: with both parties in it together, giving each other strength. Ella lingered in the hospital for awhile, and asked the girls' father to keep them away from her, so that they would be left with only happy memories of their mother. Lois, however, came over time to feel as if it had been her choice not to visit her mother, a behavior that played itself out again later when she refused to attend her cousin Chloe's funeral. Her mother left her a box full of keepsakes, and video letters, but she refused to open it or watch the tapes until years down the road, in her twenties.

With her father's position in the military, this left Lois to more or less raise her younger sister, Lucy, on her own. Because she spent more time being a mother than a sister to her, Lucy was often resentful towards Lois, and tended to rebel against her. Lois herself was forced to grow into the responsibility of this role quickly, and as such, never had much of a childhood of her own. She remained incredibly protective of her sister all through their lives, and her father held Lois responsible for Lucy's behavioral issues.

While in elementary school, Lois met Wes Keenan, and they had a brief childhood romance. He was her first kiss.

Eventually, her father sent Lucy off to boarding school, because of her behavior problems. Lois, on the other hand, had to stay with him, and continued to travel from base to base, a fact which her sister was actually jealous of. Lois, at the same time, was jealous of her sister's freedom.

Lois switched schools so much that she never actually successfully completed enough credits to graduate, despite taking longer to finish high school classes than normal. By the time she was 19, she thought she was an equivalent high school graduate and at this point has applied to Metropolis University. (She'll later, learn, however, that she's not eligible for this until she finishes out her hs credits).

Lois' father wanted his girls to be able to defend themselves, so Lois has been taking karate lessons for long enough to be a qualified third-degree black belt.

Despite the long distance between them, Lois was very close to her cousin, Chloe Sullivan, all through her life. When she learned of her cousin's death, and got her hands on a video letter from Chloe to Clark Kent, she traveled to Smallville herself in order to investigate Chloe's death further, which is where she entered into the world of Smallville.

♣ According to a career test she took, Lois' ideal job is a radio DJ.

♣ She took up smoking when she was fifteen out of rebellion against her dad's strict upbringing, but eventually worked to kick the habit. She then suffered an addiction to nicotine gum for awhile. She's shown evidence of an oral fixation.

♣ Lois can't spell worth a damn. Or cook, for that matter. She can, however, kick your butt at video games

At ParadisaEdit

StatisticsEdit

ROOM: 312 (used now as an office)

302 (shared with Clark Kent)

AFFILIATIONS: Peace Patrol, Watchtower

EXPEDITIONS: 1 || Intended trip to Paradisa Town || organized by Claire Bennet, included Akihiko Sanada, Tim Drake, Lana Lang, Stephanie Brown, Cassie Sandsmark || Trip cancelled when both Lana and Lois were kidnapped and dumped in the Dead Zone

DATE OF ARRIVAL: Sept 17th, 2010; canon updated Jan. 23rd, 2011

PERMANENT LOSS: Lois lost her memories of her cousin Chloe Sullivan. These were incredibly important to her, because Chloe had been the family member in her life who she had actually connected with in a way that wasn't based on expectations being met. Chloe was honestly the best friend she had, and for her to lose the memory of having that only serves to fuel her independent spirit more, and also ramp up the inherent loneliness she often feels (and is pretty good at keeping masked.)

RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Engaged to Clark Kent

USUAL HAUNTS: Gym, library, game room, Caritas

Temporary Losses

Isis. January, 2011. Lois was possessed by the goddess Isis, and attempted to raise her dead lover Osiris, sacrificing residents and causing lots of destruction along the way. Doubled as a canon-update.

History at ParadisaEdit

Arrival. Lois' arrival in Paradisa occurred for her after getting her hands on the Legion Ring in the middle of the Daily Planet following a throw down with her boss, Tess Mercer. She found herself in her room at the castle and transmitted a message, to which Clark was quick to respond. He brought her coffee, as well as some answers, and took her on a tour of the place. It became quickly apparent in conversations with Clark and Oliver that Chloe was her loss. She vowed to slowly try to get to know her cousin again, but it was bound to be an awkward process. Lois was also secretly delighted when Clark explained to her that "the Blur" was in Paradisa as well, and she was thrilled when he answered her private attempts to contact him, and gave her information on the castle. Meanwhile, Oliver revealed to Lois that there was something important Clark had left out of his explanation: Lois had been there before, multiple times.

On the case. Clark explained to Lois how he was a member of the "Peace Patrol" and when Tony Stark sent out feelers for new members who might be interested in information gathering, Lois eagerly signed on. Immediately determined to find a way out, and frustrated by the lack of organized information in the journals, Lois set out on a one woman mission to mine important facts out of past entries, and interview residents to find out what was known. Foregoing sleep for a few days, she put together a massive guide to the information and published it in the journals for others to peruse or add to. Shortly after this, Clark combined breakfast in bed with a dinner date to make it clear that his he had romantic intentions, and she went to Lilith and Abel's wedding as his date, where she met Spike Spiegel & Lorne, and hit it off with Crowley (much to Clark's dismay). She continued to try and put info on the World Beyond together, assisted by many in the castle who she began to see as friends, including Akihiko Sanada, Stephanie Brown, Cassie Sandsmark, Raine Sage, Roy Harper, Crowley, Arthur Pendragon, Izumi Curtis, Allen Walker, and even Sylvanas Windrunner. Claire Bennet organized a small group to plan a trip to areas of the Dead Zone previously documented, and Lois jumped on board, though she kept her intentions to go a secet from Clark at first.

Arthas. When Arthas arrived and went on a killing spree in town, the reaction was to make immediate plans to take him down. Feeling helpless to stop the murders, Lois was relieved to find out that the Blur would be assisting - he was just listed under the moniker "Superman", which, Clark explained, she had been the one to give him. Lois organized a massive research effort to find a way to save the souls trapped in Frostmourne, Arthas' sword, and destroy the weapon. Arthas managed to escape; however, they did uncover that information for future use.

Clark revealed the truth to Lois. She took it well. Ahem.
Lois learns the truth. The arrival of Kon-el shook things up entirely. Reading the conversation between Kon, Clark, and Clark's cousin, Kara, Lois realized something was up, and when she spoke to Kon, he slipped out some of the truth before Clark could intervene. Clark agreed to meet Lois on the roof about it, where he confessed that he was Superman, and from another planet. Although he was worried about her reaction, she was simply awed by the revelation, and he ended up taking her flying over Paradisa. In his favorite spot, on a mountain overlooking the city, Clark kissed her, and on the return flight, they were so, um, occupied, that they almost had a mid-flight collision with Kon & Cassie who were also locking lips. Awkwardest. Moment. Ever. Upon returning to the castle, Lois & Clark nervously agreed to spend the night together (though they didn't ~do it~).

Supes on parade. The next day, Lois started training Claire in basic self defense for their trip, and had a conversation with Kara about Krypton and Clark's birth parents. She met Hank, and was slightly unnerved by the encounter - even more so when Kon came in after he had left and explained what Hank was. Of course, that conversation also led to Kon casually mentioning how Clark had been dead at the time. Thanks, Kon. You're just the best at breaking all the news ever. He revealed how he'd been cloned from Lex and Clark and Lois began to wonder how much weirder her life could possibly get.

The Brat Bat. Lois saved Princess Justinia, who was stuck as a cat on a loss, from being hurled off a balcony by Damian Wayne. Annoyed by the kid's bratty behavior, she encouraged Stephanie in picking on him, but realized quickly they'd gone too far. Steph explained that his brother was Dick Grayson, and Lois resolved to try talking to him about the kid in order to find a healthier way to deal with him.

Day of the Dead departure. The castle decided to force residents to celebrate Day of the Dead by locking them in their rooms until they built a shrine to their deceased loved ones: Lois built hers for her mother and for Wes. It also managed to tattoo the faces of anyone in Paradisa who had previously died, and when Spike came banging on Faye's door next door, thinking it was a prank she'd pulled, Lois promised to help him prank her back later. She went outside to where a cemetery had popped up in the yard and found Shelby abandoned; in truth, Clark had seen her coming and super-sped into hiding, so that she wouldn't see the tattoos and learn he'd died. They played hide and go seek like this for awhile, and she brought Shelby up to his room, where she saw the massive shrine he'd constructed to everyone he could never save. Frustrated that she couldn't find him when Claire had arranged for them to leave the very next day, she concentrated on getting her things in order for the Dead Zone trip, and contacted Yuki Nagato for more info on Paradisa Town. Yuki's odd demeanor became even more apparent and Lois resolved to figure her out. Lois made a last ditch effort to try to say goodbye to Clark over the journals, and read his hesitance to see her as him still being angry about how she'd kept the trip from him for so long. He finally revealed he'd been hit with the facepaint, and relieved her mind, since she had never figured out what it meant, so she insisted he come over to her place so she could say goodbye anyways (and get a good laugh at how silly he looked). He gave her a parting gift for the road: a shotgun he'd gotten when the world had turned Wild West, and they spoke about the Batfamily, Clark raising his concerns about Bruce's 'child army' and revealing the secret identities of all the Bats to Lois. When Lois saw Stephanie talking to Bruce over the journals on the trip, she contacted him as well, and found out that they'd dated in his world. Awkward. She drilled him with her questions about why he did things the way he did, but admitted that it wasn't for a byline or even so much for Clark: it was largely because she was trying to understand the world of heroes, and the tough calls they had to make, that she was going to be a part of if she was with Clark. She urged Bruce to talk to him after it became clear that there'd been crossed signals and misunderstandings there.

Lois sustained a minor injury in the Dead Zone.
Dead Zone disappearances. The initial leg of the trip towards the Dead Zone seemed to be going swimmingly: Lois even made efforts to befriend Lana, as awkward as that was for her. However, on the eve of the first night, Lana inexplicably disappeared when she was meant to be on guard. After searching around, Lois tentatively put out a query to the residents as to whether she'd gone back to the castle or not. Kara immediately flew out to assist in the search (allowing Lois a glimpse of her super costume for the first time). Erika Furudo gleefully pointed out the witch's prophecy about three people disappearing for day that Lois had overlooked in the process of departing on their trip, and Clark warned her about the witches. He went to look for her, while Lois & the gang continued to scout around the area. Ollie suggested it might be linked to the "Midnight Man" episode that has just occurred. The group continued in the direction of the Dead Zone, figuring they could meet anyone found out there with supplies. Unfortunately, close to the Dead Zone, Lois disappeared as well, when she convinced Akihiko (her 'buddy' on the system they'd implemented) to go let his dog do his business. He was gone five minutes, but it was enough: she didn't remember being taken - just woke up hours later in the Dead Zone, with a sprained shoulder, feeling like she'd suffered a fall. She found that she wasn't alone - Lucy Saxon wasn't far from her, though she unfortunately had no voice (thanks, castle). They continued on until they ran across Jo Harvelle, who had been out there for days on her own, and eventually ran into two townspeople who had been apparently kidnapped in the same manner. The townspeople were practically out of their minds with desperation to get back to the castle, so they let them go. When they crossed back over, they found Lois' journal and assured everyone they were fine. Clark came out to rescue them, and Jo insisted on staying to look for Bela until at least sundown. In the meantime, he brought Lois to an outpost where Rory attended to her shoulder, and then Clark made her dinner.

Private Dick. When Lorne's powers resulted in people taking his suggestions a little too literally, Lois found herself believing that she was a hard boiled film noir private eye. Still recovering from the injury to her shoulder, she was unable to go on the expedition being organized to Mineas Well, a location discovered by some of the other residents who had been dumped in the Dead Zone. She launched into an investigation of the events that occurred there anyways, all while confusing people with her strange detective lingo. Tim Drake made a suggestion to her that they try wishing for copies of the books that had gone missing from the library at the same time as the disappearances. When the compulsion finally wore off, Lois didn't remember most of what had happened and had to re-research things. She spent a private evening flying with Clark, and asking him tons of questions about his history and powers, confessing her worries about whether she could keep up with him, which he assured her was hardly the case. She agreed to help organize Thanksgiving dinner for their friends and family (and leave the cooking to more experienced people).

Thanksgiving went off -mostly- without a hitch.
Thanksgiving. Friends and 'family' both of the caped and non caped variety gathered at Lana's place for the feast she'd prepared with Clark and Claire's help. Eris tried to stir up trouble in the castle by unleashing rabid turkeys around, that followed some residents over to Lana's, but Lois made quick work of them - first with a baseball bat, and then by sic'cing Clark on them. Lois finally met the "other" Kara, and joined up with both Supergirls on Ollie's team, for the yearly football game. Before dinner, Lois made a serious effort to befriend Damian, though it was mostly a severe test of her patience. She also finally met Dick Grayson and scared him off with her angling for an interview. She cornered Bruce and tried to convince him to stay for dinner, but he wasn't having it: her attempts to get him and Clark to bridge the weird gap between them hadn't exactly been working out well for either of them. She also met Jilly's roommate, Sakaki and talked a little with Jilly and Stephanie. Dinner went well, and she forced everyone to adhere to her carefully designed seating chart to minimize conflict.

Tis the Season. Christmas time at Paradisa came with a little bit of fine print: everyone's clothes were replaced with Victorian era wear, meaning Lois was stuck wandering around in a corset, and the place was plagued with turtledoves that invoked spontaneous kissing between whoever wandered near one. Lois locked lips with quite a few people, determined not to hide in her room, including Caroline, Larry, Jessica, Jilly, Akihiko (his first kiss ever, even), Ezio, Integra, Xander, Tim, Jo, Crowley (who did it on purpose and incurred Lois' wrath), Gabriel (who got punched in the nose after gloating about it), and, of course, Clark. The latter led to things heating up between them, and they finally consummated their relationship (complete with bodice ripping). They spent most of the rest month keeping each other company, or behind closed doors, to avoid the kissing plague. Kara ended up admitting to Lois that their relationship is strained back in her world, and explained some of the New Krypton situation, including Lucy's identity as Superwoman and Sam Lane's part in Project 7734. Lois saw no reason, however, to hold it against Kara, not knowing the whole story. Lois kept investigating throughout the holidays, trying to wish for the missing library books and learning that the castle wasn't about to give them up. She saved Stephanie from Damian-induced corset torture, and met Karen, who knew her in another world but acted entirely strange around her. Lois helped Peter Petrelli test a theory about how memory losses read to a telepath, and he began to suspect he might be able to bring a townsperson's memory back so it became a sort of secret project for them both.

Clockwork Castle. Lois and Clark attended the Paradisan Christmas Ball together, where she told Clark that Kara had shown her pictures of him as Superman and asked to see the suit. He promised her that he would sometime, and they briefly discussed his legacy, when Bruce Wayne came to cut in. She took the opportunity to try to encourage Bruce to reconcile things with Clark again. At midnight, ballgoers were trapped inside the miniature clockwork castle. Uncertain of what they were going to face, Shayera, who Lois had only just met back at the punchbowl, broke off a couple table legs for them to use as weapons, and endeared herself instantly to Lo. Karen and Clark admitted to having been depowered. When a mouse army appeared, some residents stayed to fight, while others followed the Eleventh Doctor into a mechanical room, where they found... Candyland. Residents fell asleep that night, on Christmas Eve, and had strange dreams: Lois found herself on the Kent Farm, with her and Clark's families, having a quiet celebration. She also ended up finding herself in Gabriel's vision of the angels as a semi-functional family, and at the Petrelli family Christmas with Claire. She got a variety of gifts for her friends and received a lot of things in return: including a diamond necklace from Clark

Lois possessed by Isis.
Isis. Rin, Allen, and Lois began discussing the possiblity of making contact with the hostile group after information cropped up from Zexion. It was suggested that Lois & Raine Sage be the two to do this, but Lois realized that Raine had gone home when she went to contact her. Lois expressed suspicion over Flora's Christmas present to the castle, and theorized that it was a way for First Gens to track who was going into the Dead Zone. When she went to further examine her own necklace from Flora, however, it had been replaced with Isis' necklace, and Lois became possessed by the spirit of the goddess, who had just been confined again to the artifact by Oliver Queen & Clark Kent back in Lois' homeworld. Lois returned to her own world and spent eighteen months there, while Isis used her body over the next week, to try once more and reunite with her dead lover, Osiris. She encountered Sam Winchester and threw him through a wall, leaving him for dead. He was found by Clark, and told him that Lois wasn't exactly herself. She threatened Brennan who had professed to not believe in gods, and Booth managed to get her out of there before things got ugly. Claire instructed her on how to use the journal to contact Clark, and Isis promised to reward her for her service. Gabriel revealed that they had had some kind of romantic history many millenia ago.

Angered by being trapped here, and upon discovering the castle was a sentient being, Isis decided to threaten and destroy the castle itself until she could locate the heart that had been taken from her. Various heroes attempted to stop her: Karen Starr ended up buried alive (and got an earful about her insecurities from Isis), Bruce got some broken ribs trying to keep Isis from entering the library (after she pointed out his only feelings for Diana to him), and when Isis got inside the library, Gabriel attempted to seduce her, inciting her anger. She was about to take it out on him, when she was confronted by Yuki, who put the library under her date jurisdiction and managed to effectively shut Isis down and drive her off. Batgirl & Arthur attempted to stop her from destroying Ortus Tower but failed, though Eva & Chie had more success driving her off from the Satis Tower. In the lobby, Isis injured Adell, who went all demonic on her, and then faced off with Azure Kite in a pretty hardcore match, though she emerged the victor. She fought Spider-Man in the dining room and dropped the ceiling on his head, and outside Spike confronted her and put a gun to her head, almost getting himself killed, until Max drove a motorcycle straight at the goddess, and they drove her off.

Jono eventually told her that she could wish for anything from the castle, and she used this to retrieve Osiris's heart, and began looking for a suitable new vessel for her lover. She considered but ultimately dismissed Angel, finally deciding on Jono, whose lack of heart, and connection to Egyptian mythos made it seem like an appropriate fit. Eros tried to reason her out of this, claiming what she was doing was a perversion of love, but she wouldn't listen to him, telling him that Clark is too cowardly to truly act on his love for Lois (basing it on her experiences with Clark back in the regular world). Clark himself finally spoke with her, trying to convince her that her plan to raise the Underworld would not work in Paradisa. Surprise, she didn't listen.

Claire developed a plan to go approach Isis to get more info, which backfired, when Isis took her captive as a blood sacrifice to cement the ceremony of raising Osiris in Jono's body. This plan backfired as well, however, when Claire didn't die upon getting stabbed. Enraged, Isis dumped her off, and started capturing a bunch of people from around the castle, including those who had pissed her off. She set up a sacrifical chamber in the ballroom, protected from the eyes of the rest of the castle by invisible wards that made the room look empty. She managed to sacrifice Sam Winchester, Sister, Kat B-320, Penny, and a fail attempt at killing Kanda, when Kara stumbled across the room, while searching on her own. Weakened by the magic of the wards, the fight that ensued between her and Isis ended with her death, much to Jono's horror. Broken, he appeared to give himself up to the idea of being a vessel. Shayera and Clark arrived shortly, and she destroyed the wards with her mace, even as Isis put the heart inside Jono, who destroyed it in the inferno of his hollow chest. Angered and betrayed, Isis angrily lashed out at the heroes, but back-up arrived, and a team set about to rescue the remaining hostages and get them out, while the other heroes battled her off, and finally managed to contain her long enough for Felix to blast her amulet with magical light spell that replicated sunshine and trapped her once more in the amulet. It was too late, however, for Akihiko, who had died in the battle.

Clark immediately took Lois, who was confused upon waking up from Carter Hall's funeral to the middle of this chaos, back to her room, where he broke the news to her. Horrified by what had occurred, as well as shocked by her sudden return to the castle, layered with Carter's recent death, Lois broke down while Clark comforted her. There was a small light in this darkness though: Clark noticed she was sporting a ring, and learned that not only had he survived back home, when he had thought himself dead all this time, but that they were getting married. Lois asked him to keep that quiet until after the others had returned to life, when happier news could be celebrated. She took the ring off for a few weeks.

Lois proposes to Superman.
Reunions and Celebrations. Lois & Yuki began working on compiling information from years past about events at the castle, though Lois was slow to publish anything yet, realizing that being sent home, and her devastating loss was probably punishment from the castle. Still, she remained undeterred, and though she mourned the deaths of those Isis had killed, as she told Lana, researching a way out was her best revenge against the castle. She attended Sam's funeral and was one of the first to visit Aki & Kara when they returned. She had a lot of guilt to work through, but did the best she could, while simultaneously fearing that Clark was going to be overwhelmed by news of their engagement. When she finally admitted to this to him, he allayed her fears, and on their not-Valentine's dinner (the day before, given how V Day was usually cursed for Lois), she convinced him to show her the Superman costume, and promptly proposed to him, so that the engagement would go two ways. Clark accepted, and they made the announcement at the end of the week (after the rash of V Day inspired madcap weddings, etc, - including Ollie & Claire's engagement) had died down. Kara presented Lois with traditional Kryptonian robes to officially welcome her into the family, and Lois was touched by the gesture. Claire & Lois made up, having argued in the wake of Isis over the role of heroes, and what it meant to act from the sidelines.

Slenderman. When a mysterious bloody tree appeared and children started disappearing, Lois joined the research team in trying to piece together clues about how to save them. She uncovered information about an exorcism ritual that led to her leading a group planning how to drive Slenderman's spirit from the tree, after they rescued the children.
