Appearance
Edit
5'5" with chin length dark brown hair. Her clothing style is... eccentric. She could wear striped tights, a black skirt and combat boots one day, then go to school in a nice dress and blazer with a flower pin on the lapel the next day. She goes with whatever she feels like doing or wearing at the moment. She wakes up feeling happy and sweet? Dress. Artistic and brooding? Ripped jeans. It makes for an interesting mix.
Skills
Edit
- She's quite the artist, constantly drawing something or other. She particularly enjoys drawing portraits of people she's never met.
- Poetry, though she wouldn't consider that a skill, it's just emotions put down to paper.
Room
Edit
The windows are framed by dark red curtains, falling to pool on the floor by the sides of a window seat with deep cushions. The windows are flanked by two large antique bookshelves, overflowing with books she either wished up or stole from the library. A full bed covered in a down comforter and lots of pillows is against one wall, near the door leading to the bathroom. There are two desks and an art table along the opposite wall, all covered with projects in various states of completion. There's a smaller shelf near the door topped by a stereo, an electric teapot, a mug and various types of tea, the lower shelves are filled with CDs, cassettes and a number of other things. The walls themselves are plastered with portraits of residents, most of whom she'd never seen in person. There are candles burning on every surface, and lights strung up along the ceiling and creeping along the walls by her bed.
Personality
Edit
Behind every great man is a woman kicking him in the ass and telling him to get with the fucking program. At least, that’s how Nora feels. She’s your not-so-typical 16 year old trapped in 90s American suburbia. She deals with this fact by doing whatever the hell she wants and not giving a damn what anyone else has to say about it.
As an artist and poet, she’s immediately drawn to Happy Harry Hard-on when she hears him on the radio. The only things she does while listening to him are smoke and make notes to try to figure out who the hell he is. She doesn’t know the music he plays, but she doesn’t care. She feels a connection to him. She writes him very distinctive letters that he loves to read on the air. Never signing her name, he has to resort to giving her nicknames. First, she’s the “eat me, beat me” lady. Then, after an especially poignant letter, she becomes “the poetry lady.” She’s the one who gives him what eventually becomes his battle cry by telling him to, “jam me, jack me, push me, pull me, talk hard!” Ever the poet, those letters are how she proves to him she’s an ally. When she figures him out, she recites part of the letter he just received to show that she really is who she says. Those letters were the start of a beautiful romance.
Nora has enormous charisma, even with people she doesn’t know at all. She uses this charisma to get information, in addition to making and keeping friends. She and her best friend seem to know everything there is to know about everyone in the school, and enjoy making sarcastic comments about each and every one of them, especially if they’re the rich and popular kids. She also has a fantastic sense of humor. When she first meets Mark, before she knows he’s Harry, she’s working as a library aide. She strikes up a cheerful conversation with him, even if he didn’t really say much back, and teases him about owing 25 cents for an overdue book. She doesn’t care what anyone thinks about who she’s friends with or who she talks to. The day after she discovers Mark is Harry, she runs over and says hi to him as he’s walking past. No more, no less. Her friend calls her a tramp, leading one to believe that she’s quite the flirt, which is unsurprising given how open she is to talking to anyone.
She likes to keep people on their toes. At one point she tells Mark “I’m not really like that. Except when I am.” She’d much rather keep people guessing than fall into the boring routine of normalcy. She doesn’t even get into the social rebellion that starts happening at the school. She doesn’t participate in defacing school property or putting posters up with Harry’s sayings on it. She just stands back and watches with a grin as things change. She’s all for social disorder, but against jumping on the bandwagon.
She falls in love, not just with Harry, but with Mark. The fact that he can’t seem to talk when he doesn’t have a microphone in front of his face doesn’t make her shy away. If anything, it endears him to her even more. Perhaps it’s the idea that she can fix him. Perhaps it’s the thought of knowing who he is when no one else does. Perhaps it’s the awkward boyish charm he has. Whatever the reason, she loves him even if he doesn’t say a word.

Permanent
Edit
She can no longer use red paper for anything. If she tries it’ll crumble to dust. In canon, every letter she wrote to Harry was on red paper, in a red envelope. It has a special meaning to the two of them.

Relationships
Edit
- Mark Hunter (Hard Harry)-- She heard his voice like the siren's call across the sea. She tracked him down and forced her way into his life. Now she can't imagine her life without him in it; and won't have to, if she has her way.

Relationships

BFFS/Companions/WHATEVS
Edit
- Billy (Dr. Horrible)-- They met under unfortunate circumstances, but she loves his views on commercialism and how fucked up the castle is.
- Darkwing Duck-- He's a little weird, but he actually sounds like a cool Dad, which is so rare.
- Dave Strider-- The coolest kid there ever was.
- The Fifth Doctor-- She LOVES his TARDIS. Seriously. He's a really interesting person and she'd love to get to know him better.
- Jonothan Evan "Chamber" Starsmore-- He's an amazing musician, and pretty fun to talk to. She hopes he finds some more people to join that band of his.
- Kaylee Frye-- She's sweet. One of the first people she met in person in the castle.
- Serenity Rose-- A girl from 20 years in her future. Floats, but has cool taste in music.
- Shin'ichi Okazakii-- Another of the first people she met in person. He reminds her a lot of Maz, a kid from home.
- Spike-- An actual vampire. Seriously. He's pretty cool.
- Yamanaka Ino-- A really nice girl who wants to keep Mark safe as much as she does. Nora's a little jealous since Ino can do things she wishes she could (i.e. kicking someone's ass for fucking with Mark), but she's happy that Mark has good friends he can count on.
Acquaintances
Edit
- Aziraphale-- Flipped out over her language when she arrived. At first she just liked pushing his buttons... then he just got annoying.
- Barney Stinson- She's... not sure what to think about him. But his suit pajamas are pretty sweet.
- Corporal Maladict-- Mostly knows her from her talks with Harry, but she seems pretty cool.
- Jilly Coppercorn-- Is apparently working on a mural in town by the coffee shop. Nora's thinking about helping out with it, just for something to do.
- Larry Paul-- Weird guy who actually complained about not having a job.
- Mindy Macready_(Hit_Girl)--Cool kid, she loves that she stuck her artwork right in the journal.
- Rapunzel-- She was so adorably awed by the library!
