personality
Edit
Peter Parker was once a normal little boy, well... not a normal little boy exactly, he's always been on the nerdy, friendless side, but normal in the way that he couldn't lift a motorized vehicle above his head with ease. One day little, quiet, nerdy Peter Parker was bitten by a genetically mutated spider, and that was the end of any chance he had of being an above average intelligence, normal kid. After that he became a superhero with occasionally questionable above average intelligence.
Added by BakhuSome things about Peter will never change though, whether he can crawl walls or not. You can take the nerd out of the chem lab, but you can't take the chem lab out of the dork. Peter is a science dork. His father was a brilliant scientist, a decade ahead of his time, and it seems like he passed that big brain of his down to his son. Those oh so famous webs that Spider-man shoots at criminals and swings on? Those were the creation of Peter completely one of his father's side projects. He was able to chemically make his own, powerful webbing material, which has to continually be remade before his next crime-stopping spree. Peter looks up to and admires other brilliant, scientific minds like Reed Richards and Bruce Banner, and the lucky kid's been able to meet these guys too!
But scientists aren't the only guys he admires. As a young, upcoming superhero, Peter's got plenty of guys to look up to in awe (lucky those scientists are superheroes too then, huh?) While he's as hardworking as any other superhero, he's often criticized by other people and told he needs to stop trying to play with the "big boys". He's even had a few fun run-ins with Daredevil where the other superhero had no issues physically abusing the underage kid to make a point. (Excellent superheroing there, Murdock!)
Good thing Peter isn't that easily deterred. Though there have been several moments where things have reached new lows and caught Peter unaware, leaving him with guilt and regrets that made him want to give up the costume, he's always come back to it. There's one of Peter's big problems right there. He's fundamentally a good guy. He finds it hard to turn a blind eye on a woman being mugged when he can hop down and do something to save her life.
After the death of his Uncle Ben by a robber who Peter could have stopped earlier that very day, Peter's dedicated his life to helping the fight against crime, no matter how much the people he's trying to save hate him. Shortly before he was murdered, Peter's uncle left him with this motto, "With great power comes great responsibility." Peter literally lives and breathes by this motto. His entire life is based around it, it's why a sixteen year old boy can go out every afternoon into a city full of people who are distrustful of him, and risk life and limb to save the same people that would just as soon seen him locked away for life.
That's not to say Peter is perfect, far from it in fact. He can be incredibly selfish at times. He's freaked out at loved ones before, for example, yelling at Mary Jane, his girlfriend who kept ending up in dangerous situations, and breaking up with her, because (in his own words) he couldn't deal with the guilt if something happened to her. While breaking up with her to keep her safe isn't an inherently selfish thing to do, the reasoning behind it was.
And Peter does have some very heavy guilt issues. After the death of his uncle, which he blamed heavily on himself, Peter's put the weight of the world on his own shoulders. He sometimes had ridiculous completely unrealistic expectations of himself, and what he should be able to prevent.
All seriousness aside, what Peter is probably best known for is his quipy nature as Spider-Man. It's probably not much of an exaggeration to say almost no other superhero can out talk him. Unless the villain has managed to anger Peter enough to make him serious about the fight (and it takes something along the lines of literally hurting his friends and family), Peter is almost constantly jabbering away. It's hard to get him to shut up, unless of course the villain wisely starts chocking him.
The really ironic thing is that Peter seems to become more honest when he puts on the Spider-Man costume. That's right, when he's running around hiding his identity, he's his most honest. It's because while in his every day life, he still makes lame jokes that he probably shouldn't, it seems to intensify by twenty when his face is hidden. He has no problems blabbing out things about having different sort of issues or tossing out something about the villain making him want to piss his pants, and while it's an attempt at humor, the sad thing is often it's not a lie.
Despite that, Peter doesn't necessarily want to hide things from the people he knows. He keeps the secret identity thing up to protect the people he loves, and even then he slips up and a lot, and people close to him end up finding out who he really is anyway. Sort of a double-edged sword, since Peter seems convinced that people who know about him are in more danger than if they're left in the dark. And Peter deeply cares for the people in his life. While he doesn't have a huge group of friends and barely any family left, Peter clings to what he has left like a life preserve, not ready to let any of them go any time soon.
And what’s so impressive about it all is that in this universe, Peter Parker is still a sixteen year old boy, who’s done most of his superhero stunts at age fifteen. He’s faced supervillains, made tough choices, and seen more death than any adult should, and he’s not even out of high school. It can be hard for him at times, considering his age leads to bouts of immaturity you would (hopefully, but not necessarily) not see in older heroes. Still, maybe something’s to be said for Peter’s youth. There’s that whole wide-eyed optimism, not made completely bitter and cynical by a corrupted society.
abilities
Edit
Spider-Man possesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, durability, reflexes, recuperative powers, balance, coordination, and sense of equilibrium.
Spider-Man's hands and feet have the ability to manipulate the inter-atomic binding forces of matter, allowing him to form temporary molecular bonds between his body and another object. This enables him to cling to solid surfaces and scale walls simply by placing his hands on them. He also possesses a "spider-sense" which alerts him to danger. This takes the form of a tingling sensation at the base of his skull. Through experience, Spider-Man has learned how to sense differences in the various tingles he feels, determining whether a danger is potential or immediate, how intense a threat it is, what direction it is coming from, etc.
Superhuman Strength: Spider-Man possesses superhuman strength enabling him to press lift approximately 6 tons. Spider-Man's physical strength is sufficient to lift and throw objects as heavy as most standard automobiles with ease. He must also pull his punches and kicks unless fighting someone of similar or greater physical durability. Otherwise, his blows would prove fatal to a normal human being. He has demonstrated that he strong enough enable him to knock out people with normal durability with as little as a tap to the head. Spider-Man's physical strength also extends into his legs, enabling him to be able to jump to a height of several stories in a single bound.
As Spider-Man has not fully grown to adulthood, he is not as strong as his Earth-616 counterpart yet, however he is portrayed as being sufficiently strong enough to lift and throw conventional vehicles and cars, it should also be noted that he has been shown to be significantly stronger than Captain America as he overpowers him as they wrestled each other over footing. Spider-Man is currently capable of lifting 5 tons like the Ultimate Spider-Woman, a clone of himself. However, when Peter reaches adulthood it is assumed that he will be able to lift 10 tons like his Earth-616 counterpart.
Superhuman Speed: Spider-Man can run and move at speeds that are beyond the physical limits of the finest human athlete.
Superhuman Stamina: Spider-Man's advanced musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for much longer periods of time before fatigue begins to impair him. At his peak, Spider-Man can physically exert himself for several hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.
Superhuman Durability: Spider-Man's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. His body is more resistant to impact forces than anything else. He can withstand great impacts, such as falling from a height of several stories or being struck by a superhumanly strong opponent, that would severely injure or kill a normal human with little to no discomfort, Spider-man's durability is sufficient that he survived with no serious injury other than a sore body being electrocuted by Electro and then thrown out of Kingpin's skyscraper .
Superhuman Agility:Spider-Man's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Spider-Man is extraordinarily limber and his tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being's, despite their enhanced strength. He has the combined agility and acrobatic prowess of the most accomplished circus aerialists and acrobats. He can also perform any complicated sequence of gymnastic stunts such as flips, rolls, and springs. He can easily match or top any Olympic record at gymnastics apparatus such as flying rings, climbing ropes, horizontal bars, trampolines.
Superhuman Equilibrium: Spider-Man possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He seems able to adjust his position by instinct, which enables him to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow. He has developed a unique fighting style that made full use of his agility, strength, and equilibrium.
Superhuman Reflexes: Spider-Man's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are currently about 15 times greater than those of an ordinary human. In combination with his spider-sense, the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge almost any attack, even direct gunfire, if he is far enough away.
Wall-Crawling: Spider-Man's exposure to the mutated spider venom induced a mutagenic, cerebellum-wide alteration of his engrams resulting in the ability to mentally control the flux of inter-atomic attraction (electrostatic force) between molecular boundary layers. This overcomes the outer electron shell's normal behavior of mutual repulsion with other outer electron shells and permits the tremendous potential for electron attraction to prevail. The mentally controlled sub-atomic particle responsible for this has yet to be identified. This ability to affect the attraction between surfaces is so far limited to Spider-Man's body (especially concentrated in his hands and feet) and another object, with an upper limit of several tons per finger. Limits to this ability seem to be psychosomatic, and the full nature of this ability has yet to be established.

FRIENDS/FAMILY
Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman) His clone and current roommate. After first it was horribly, uncomfortably odd to hang out with her, but it got easier the longer time went on. Peter finds it easiest to make the headache and confusion go away if he thinks of Jess as his little sister.
Johnny Storm One of Peter's best friends from home. He's kind of an idiot (kind of being a huge understatement), but he's a good guy. Also dating his clone. Ewwwwww.

FRIENDS
ACQUAINTANCES
Anthony J. Crowley A demon! ... Yep.
Aziraphale An angel. Who's friend with the demon. Uh... huh.
Cessily Kincaid (Mercury) A girl who suffered through the Midnight Man games with him. She seems pretty nice and friendly, and has a decent sense of humor.
Claire Bennet A girl he's joked with a few times. She always seems to pop up on him during his less than brilliant moments.
Colette Brunel A ridiculously nice girl. Like... nice to the point that he's almost worried that's a fault of hers. She also apologizes for everything. Still, Peter likes the conversations he's had with her.
Elektra Natachios His version of her is an assassin who sold her sold to Fisk and has tried to kill Peter more than once. Also she was hot. This version is just as hot, but without all the bad parts. Peter likes her a lot more than the one he knew back home.
Julian "Hellion" Keller Bratty kid! That's about all he can say about him.
Kallen Kouzuki Peter's friend, and one of the few people who knows he's Spider-Man. She's helped save him a few times, and he's helped save her, so it's a give and take relationship there. She's got a pretty biting sense of humor too, but since half of Peter's friends back home love to make fun of him, it's nothing he can't handle.
Larry Paul Not dad! He was stuck in the Midnight Man games with Peter. In fact, these two spent the most time together sense the others either got separated from them early on or lost to the Midnight Man's madness (say that three times fast, I dare you). Eventually Larry tried to sacrifice himself to save Peter, which resulted in Peter having to pick him up and sprint through the maze to freedom.
Matthew Murdock (Daredevil) Daredevil wasn't his biggest fan back in his world, and sadly the man was killed in the flood that destroyed so much of New York. Peter gets along well with this version though. It helps that this one was instantly ready to treat Peter like a friend, even though he wasn't the same Peter Matt knew from his world.
Nancy Downs Made out with her a couple times... because the castle made them do it! That aside, Nancy and Peter have started up an odd couple sort of friendship. They're good at exchanging snark too.
Pharos Helped out when Pharos was being tortured by demon cards. No, really. He later returned the cards on the understanding that Pharos wouldn't be looking at these things again.
Takamura Uru Easily excitable kid who questioned if he was really a boy or not. That one kind of hurt.
Tam Fox A girl stuck with him in the Midnight Man games. She was attacked pretty early on, so Peter doesn't know her too well. Still, he spent a good amount of time carrying her over his shoulder to safety.
Tony Stark Hasn't interacted with him that much here, but the guy's brilliant, so he's gonna get some respect from Peter.
Deadpool (Wade Wilson) Deadpool from his world was a psychotic murderer who hates mutants and would love to see them all killed off in horrible ways. This Deadpool doesn't have the mutant hate at all, but he sent Peter a mounted deer head for Christmas so Peter is pretty sure that Deadpool still wants him killed off in a horrible way.
Yousuke Hanamura Kallen's... boooyfriend (???) Peter's not sure about that one for sure, but the guy definitely has a think for Kallen. He's also got jealous of Peter and punched him over something Peter couldn't control. The guy is lucky Peter's so forgiving.
Yukari Takeba A girl stuck in the Midnight Man games with him. Seems nice.
Yukiko Amagi A girl who doesn't seem to get his sophisticated sense of humor. She's pretty nice and friendly though.
