PersonalityEdit

There are many things you would expect of the crown princess of a kingdom. You would expect her to be elegant and graceful, poised, calm and serene. You would expect her to be well versed in diplomacy and politics, and highly educated in preparation to take the throne. You might even expect her to be a kind and benevolent heir, with a warm smile and open heart for her people.

You would be correct on the last count, at least.

Serenity is a young, energetic, and refreshing take on the title of princess. She wears a smile almost constantly, naïve to a fault and extremely loving to her people and her kingdom. The cheerful aura that her people love about her and that she almost constantly exudes is completely natural, simply a part of who she is, and it bolsters the idealistic view she has of the world. She naturally sees the best in the people she meets, and she is almost blind to the darker side of humanity. That innocence is a trait that makes her guardians love her that much more, even as it tends to worry them, because as sheltered a life as she has led, the concept of having a person as an enemy is somewhat alien to her.

Her natural cheer and energy, as well as her pampered upbringing, also explain some of her flightier traits. The young princess wound much rather spend an afternoon lounging in the gardens or playing games than working on the lessons she’s given or sitting through meetings and ceremonies. It’s a common occurrence for palace servants to find Serenity sneaking away from her guardians, or hiding from the work that’s built up as she played. It’s only after finding her, scolding her, and reminding her of her duties that she will eventually give in and return to what she thinks of as the more boring aspects of her station.

The capacity for work is there, however rarely it shows itself, as is her ability to be serious when the situation calls for it. As genuine as her smile is, it also serves as a mask at times. She knows what her future holds, that one day she will take the throne as Queen, and she knows how much will depend on she and she alone when that day comes. It’s this mentality that causes her to hide behind her smile, so as not to burden those around her with such heavy thoughts. There are very few she is close enough to and trusts enough to share her worries with, and to allow to see her in such a state.

LossEdit

Serenity’s permanent loss is the ginzuishou, a crystal that is merged with her body and allows her to wield great amounts of power and magic. With the loss of the ginzuishou, her own magical ability has been heavily diminished, stripping her of her ability to do all but the most basic of spells as well as some of the heavy burden that comes with carrying such great power within her.

Serenity is taken from the past life, which is set before the beginning of the series. She is the only daughter of the Queen of the Moon, and is set to one day inherit the throne. Her closest friends are the senshi of Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus, who also serve as her guardians, and she is in love with the prince of Earth, Endymion. However, their love is forbidden, and the prophecies claim that it will one day be the end of the world.
