Character Profile
Edit

Name: Ryotaro Nogami

Age: 18

Race/Nationality: Human/Asian

Canon Point: After the end of the episode where he first meets the past Sakurai Yuuto but before the episode following it.

Room: 2014, Terrere Tower. THIS.

Permanent Loss: Dominion over his own body; he shares a body with four demons and has the ability and willpower necessary to force them out whenever he wants. He's lost that upon entering Paradisa.

PersonalityEdit

If you looked up the word 'Pushover' in the dictionary, it wouldn't be a surprise if there was a picture of Ryotaro beside the entry. He's quiet, overly polite and can't seem to ignore people in distress. Unfortunately, being in distress to Ryotaro can be anything from being attacked by an imagin, to needing help lifting some boxes. He almost always does what people ask of him and even if he's a little hesitant to refuse, insisting is usually enough to make him agree. If a person should request he do something that seems suspicious or downright wrong, he'll refuse outright in the most polite manner possible, because despite his outwardly meek appearance, Ryotaro has a strong sense of justice and a good heart to the point of innocence one would only see in a child.

He can't stand to see people being picked on, injured or otherwise wronged. Despite being somewhat of a coward, seeing things like this spurs him into action; he'll try and take on the one doing the attacking long enough for the other person to get away and then more than likely run himself; he isn't much of a fighter, but if there's one thing Ryotaro excels at, it's running, away or otherwise. As a result of his timid personality, his true strength is dormant and will more than likely remain that way forever. Despite this, his courage shines in hopeless situations, as numerous times he has fought even the series imagin demons by himself, knowing he stood no chance, but fighting on in order to protect others. He'll also open up a bit more if someone he's talking to seems down and attempt to cheer them up the best he can, but after they do, he returns to being his usual quiet self.

Ryotaro tends to be unphased by most, if not all of the bad things that happen around him. He's got such atrocious luck that at this point in his life, he actually expects these sorts of things to happen and would be surprised if they didn't. As a result, he can remain incredibly optimistic in almost any scenario. Don't even try to make him see the realistic side of a scenario; even if he stops arguing about it, he will continue to believe things will work out okay, for everyone. The only time he shows any kind of real sorrow or emotional distress is under certain extreme circumstances, such as admitting to him you're planning on wiping out humanity and don't care about everyone you're going to hurt in the process, but only if you actually manage it. Saying you will and nothing coming of it won't have any kind of effect, aside him trying to stop you. Politely. As a result of his usual kind demanor however, he can become rather terrifying when serious about stopping someone, in the form of a tranquil fury. That kind of anger you know is there, but can't see outwardly. This is a recurring thing with Ryotaro as he tends to hide any and all negative emotions he feels, whenever he does, including anger and sadness. In fact, throughout the series, he's never made an angry expression let alone raised his voice.

Much of this behavior stems from just how awful Ryotaro's life has been. Be it losing his parents at such a young age that he doesn't even remember what they sound or look like, being bullied and used by everyone around him and being too complacent to do anything about it, or the fact that when his sister's fiance proposed and made their life around a hundred times better only to suddenly disappear and traumatize the fuck out of her, Ryotaro has endured a lot of pain and hardship. He doesn't like the idea of anyone going through pain like that, so works hard to do what he can to make sure everyone's life is as good as it can be. It's also the reason he comes across as so innocent, as he can't help but question others who harm people as to why they do it, because most of these jerks lack the empathy Ryotaro possesses. This rarely works and chances are Paradisa's going to be no exception.

Ryotaro's most prominent and obvious personality trait to pretty much everyone who so much as looks at the guy is he is way. too. nice. Ryotaro essentially apologizes for everything he has, or might have, done to offend others even if there's no cause for it. This usually involves a gratuitous amount of apologizing and bowing. He's very careful not to offend people and even if others are doing something wrong he'll try and ask them to stop as politely as possible. He speaks formally even with his close friends and addresses them with respect, adding the honorific -san to the end of everyone's name in the formal context, which is essentially like referring to everyone as Mr. Miss. Ms. or Mrs. Even if you ask him not to, he'll probably do it anyway out of habit, so just roll with it.

This is where it gets interesting. Ryotaro has a contract with four demons, known as Imagin, which are the antagonists fo the series, with these four being an exception. Considering Ryotaro can't fight, he instead allows the imagin to possess him and take over his body, in order to do the fighting for him. When possessed by the Imagin demons, their personality overrides Ryotaro's own, essentially making Ryotaro into an entirely new person. The imagin were brought to Paradisa because they are essentially an extension of his being at this point; they can't exist without a connection to him of some sort. They can communicate with each other telekinetically, although this makes the one in control of Ryotaro's body look like he's talking to himself. When one imagin is in Ryotaro's body, the other three will be stuck within the confines of Ryotaro's room. If Ryotaro is in his room, all four of them will be in physical form but still stuck in the room with him, only able to leave through possessing Ryotaro. Ryotaro is always concious within his own body, possessed or otherwise. TheEveryman, CosmicPlaything, Beware the Nice Ones, Iron Woobie, Honor before reason, The Pollyanna

Momotaros "I...have arrived!"Edit

When possessed by Momotaros, Ryotaro acts like a typical thug. He's loud, brash, arrogant, rude and hotheaded. He jumps to conclusions, threatens anyone who makes fun of him, threatens anyone he thinks is making fun of him and generally fails at it. His actions are so exaggerated and ridiculous that it's hard to take him seriously. He also hates having the spotlight stolen from him; when something big is going down, he wants to be the star, upfront and center stage taking all the attention. He even refers to everything he does as being a constant

'climax', which must make sex interesting essentially means that everything he does, he does 100%. He puts his all into everything he tries and for him there's no such thing as a slow and steady approach, or starting off easy. Despite all of his negative traits however, believe it or not, Momotaros is a good person at heart. He's noble, honorable and even has a strong sense of justice akin to Ryotaro. He hates cowardice especially, so bullying and fleeing from a fight are two things that really anger him. Furthermore, he won't finish off an opponent unless they are evil to the core; if he pisses you off or vice versa, you fight him and lose, chances are he'll walk away and let you live. If you just torched down an orphanage, then make the most of it, because he'll strike you down in an instant.

Urataros "Mind if I reel you in?"Edit

Urataros is deceptively nice and polite; if he refers to you formally, he probably means it in a mocking kind of manner. If he compliments you, it's probably a veiled insult. Fortunately he's a good actor, so only hotheaded people like Momotaros usually have a reason to attack him, because otherwise regular people wouldn't notice. He also enjoys elaborate lies and stories to tell people, usually just for the sake of it. He refers to this as reeling someone in and lies jus

t to deceives people. Basically, he lies. About everything. If you believe him, he's won. He's happy, he's got an ego boost. Especially if you're a woman. He gives himself bonus points if he charms you, if he makes you love him. Although he's given several reasons for his lying, these in themselves were also lies. So he lies about how he lied about lying about why he lies. If you can ignore this though, he's really good company; naturally charismatic and charming and rarely offends people. It's a nice change to Momotaros if you don't know you're being made a fool of. His reason for lying is actually a simple need for attention; he spent a long time by himself in the timestream and may even have Autophobia, as he claimed had he not joined the den-liner crew, he "wouldn't have been able to keep my[his] cool", implying he would have lost it without them, but he'd never admit this otherwise and passes it off as a simple pleasure he gets from messing with people.

Kintaros "My strength has made you cry!"Edit

Kintaros is all about strength. His entire life and philosophy revolves around the concept of strength and being the strongest. As expected, this makes him a bit of a simple guy. He's slow, dim-witted and very, very laid back. As a result of this, he doesn't even care when people insult him. Pretty much everything negative said about him is taken with either silence or apathy and he'll just go on living. He's also a really nice guy, not in the sense of a pushover like Ryotaro, but rathe

r he's just generally honest and comforting in his own kind of way. Furthermore, he seems to be narcoleptic, as during sentences or actions outside of battle he seems to just fall asleep at random times, and good luck waking him up. You could smash this guy through a wall and he'd just continue sleeping regardless. One thing that will anger him though, even rouse him from his sleep, is crying. If he hears someone crying, or even a word that sounds similar to the word cry, he'll go into a rage. This usually involves confronting the person who made another cry and beat them down so hard their descendants would still feel the bruises, because if there's only one thing in this world that can anger this sleeping giant, it's bullying. If it's a result of someone just being upset however, he'll do what he can to comfort and console them unless of course someone else is doing a better job of it, but because he's the strongest and he believes might makes right, this is almost never the case.

Ryuutaros "Mind if I beat you? Your answer doesn't matter!"Edit

The youngest of the four Imagin demons, but also the strongest. Ryuutaros acts exactly like a child; he likes coloring, playing, dancing, singing and animals. He also shows a lot of affection for Ryotaro's sister Airi. To the point that since she started to like Yuuto he tried to murder the guy so he wouldn't have to share her affections because he's downright insane. As a result of his incredible power but childish behavior he pretty much comes across as a total psycho. He does childish things such as throw tantrums or play with people, with disastrous results that involve leveling buildings by accident or shooting at people to make them da

nce. Of course he isn't aware of how wrong what he's doing is, because he generally doesn't care enough to think about it. He's playful, cheerful and only gets mad when things don't go his way; which he resolves by either getting into a strop, or shooting people, though the former happens more often thankfully enough. He rarely takes anything seriously, which includes fighting, because he sees all fights as playing. The only time he gets serious is people badmouthing Airi, attacking Airi, or if he's starting to lose. He hates losing. Eventually though he grows up and becomes a lot more stable after realizing Airi will never love him because she can never meet him face to face, plus Ryotaro stands up for him to Kai so the two become really good friends and Ryuutaros fights for Ryotaro and the others as a friend Sadly the Ryuutaros in Paradisa has yet to have this experience. He has a strange ability he refers to as 'making friends', which seems to be a powerful form of mind control. He can use this to make people do things they wouldn't be capable of normally, but most of the time he just makes a small posse of people he can dance with. He can also make his theme song play anytime, anywhere.

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

As a human Ryotaro isn't anything exceptional. Although he's hinted to have incredible strength at one point, his personality will pretty much keep that deep down within him for the rest of his life. It's only when he transforms into Den-O, the defender of time and space, that he gets kickass armor and super powers. Sadly, without the other Imagin, Ryotaro still kinda sucks.

Singularity point: Although not really an ability for battle, it is worth mentioning. There are few singularity points in the universe, but they are very unique individuals in the sense that they exist independently of time itself, and all known timelines. If the past is destroyed, or if a doomed timeline ceases to exist, a singularity point will continue existing in that destroyed timeline in a physical form with all of their memories intact. They also cannot be erased from time by being killed in the past; each second of their lives seems to exist as it's own being independently of it's other selves in the future and past, meaning eradicating Ryotaro through any kind of time shennanigans is impossible. Singularity points are also the only living beings capable of resisting the presence of an Imagin; possessing a singularity point will trap the imagin in the hosts body, unable to tempt them with the promise of a wish and unable to take control of the hosts body without permission. The last part of that is, however, Ryotaro's loss, so he tends to get dragged around the castle a lot as the Imagin go around causing trouble for him inadvertently.

Plat-Form
Imagine014.jpg
Edit

Ryotaro's personal Den-O form...which is incredibly uninspiring and about as useful as Ryotaro himself in combat. It has minimum armor and enhancements and barely augments his strength. Chances are if you're stronger than human Ryotaro you just need to try a little bit harder and you can beat this too.

Powers and Abilities: Super durability.

Weaknesses: Barely enhances anything beyond his human limits.

Destructive Capacity: N/A, there's nothing really.

Range: Melee fighter.

Speed: 100m/10s

Durability: Large Building Level + (Survived an attack that totaled a skyscraper without any injuries, but was knocked unconcious by it.)

Strength: Base Human

Stamina: Base Human

Standard Equipment: DenGnasher Sword

Intelligence: Base Human

Notable Attacks/Techniques: None

Imagine015.png
Sword Form
Edit

The most used form achieved by synching up with Momotaros, granting Den-O a sword and enhanced, overall performance. This armor preforms well at everything, boosting arm and leg strength, overall armor and jumping aptitudes, far above Plat-form, but the other forms excel in different areas, meaning it's too well-balanced to be considerably effective against stronger foes.

Powers and Abilities: Super Strength, Super Durability

Weaknesses: Lack of ranged attacks, Jack-of-all trades so lacks any kind of trump card.

Destructive Capacity: Large building level + (His strongest attack can tear massive holes into skyscrapers just by getting in the way; could do a lot more damage if he focused on the building itself as his target.)

Range: Melee fighter, Hissatsu attack can extend the blade outwards and be used as a ranged weapon.

Speed: 100m/5.2s

Durability: City level+ (Via powerscaling; Den-Liner form took the brunt of an attack that was meant to wipe out a timeline so that Ryotaro could weaken it's effect. It's stated it's only stat that's higher than the other forms is it's speed.)

Strength: 15tons +

Stamina: Far beyond peak human.

Standard Equipment: DenGnasher Sword

Intelligence: He's...not that bright.

Notable Attacks/Techniques: Hissatsu; Places the DenLiner-pass over the Den-O Belt, causing his sword to become charged with energy. The blade then detaches from the hilt of the sword and as Momotaros swings it, the blade extends out far enough to strike his intended target. It consists of three charged swings, one of which is enough to demolish several floors of a skyscraper, the three combined enough to obliterate the target is a massive explosion that doesn't leave a trace of them behind.

Imagine013.png
Rod Form
Edit

Rod form is the least used form, considering Urataros rarely fights directly. When Urataros takes over, the armor gains a weapon slightly longer than Den-O's body which appears to be a cross between a harpoon and a stave. This armor is defensive in nature, as it gains heavier armor, increased leg strength and can function underwater perfectly. However, this sacrifices mobility losing out on jumping ability and running speed while on land.

Powers and Abilities: Super Strength, Super Speed, Super Durability, fully functional underwater to the point it ignores all resistance large bodies of water have on a regular person's movements.

Weaknesses: Slow on land, low manuerverability

Destructive Capacity: Small building level

Range: Melee fighter, slightly longer than normal due to the length of his weapon.

Speed: 100m/9s

Durability: City level+ (Via powerscaling; Den-Liner form took the brunt of an attack that was meant to wipe out a timeline so that Ryotaro could weaken it's effect. It's stated it's only stat that's higher than the other forms is it's speed.)

Strength: 10tons+

Stamina: Far beyond peak human.

Standard Equipment: DenGnasher Rod.

Intelligence: Genius level intellect.

Notable Attacks/Techniques: Solid attack; Charges his weapon with the DenLiner-pass by placing it over the Den-O belt, then tosses it at his target. The weapon pierces the opponent for a second, before it becomes a large blue hexagon which traps the target(s) with a field of blue energy that runs through them like lightning. Urataros then delivers a powerful flying kick to the Hexagon's surface which causes a unleashes a massive explosion all around the opponent, completely obliterating them.

Ax Form Edit

Imagine012.png
Ax form is arguably the strongest form available; Kintaros enhances the armor's physical strength and defense to incredible heights, while drastically reducing it's mobility. His weapon is also a rather small Axe, which means that foes who prefer long distance combat can be a hassle for him. The armor allows him to tank attacks and slowly approach at a hurried walking speed, but even this form has it's limits and unless it can get in close quickly, it can be worn down with enough attacks.

Powers and Abilities: Super Strength, Super Durability Weaknesses: Low speed

Destructive Capacity: Large building level+ (Easily; limits of his strength...can't really guess what it would be.)

Range: Short range melee fighter.

Speed: 100m/7s

Durability: City level+ (Via powerscaling; Den-Liner form took the brunt of an attack that was meant to wipe out a timeline so that Ryotaro could weaken it's effect and save the world from complete annhilation. It's stated it's only stat that's higher than the other forms is it's speed. This form has the highest durability of them all.)

Strength: The limits are unknown, but when possessing a regular human without being transformed, he managed to shake a skyscraper with a single punch. So maybe...50tons+? It could be a lot more.

Stamina: Far beyond peak human.

Standard Equipment: DenGnasher Axe.

Intelligence: Although rather dumb, he is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to fighting.

Notable Attacks/Techniques: Dynamic Chop; Charges his weapon with the den-liner pass, then leaps into the air and delivers an incredibly powerful downward slash with his ax. Completely obliterates his target.

Gun FormEdit

Imagine11.png
Gun form is, overall, the strongest form available. Ryuutaros enhances the armor in a similar manner to Momotaros, but on a greater scale. It's arm and leg strength, overall armor, speed and jump height are all enhanced to incredible heights. Furthermore, the weapon given to this form is deadly, a handheld gun capable of rapid firing rounds strong enough, individually, to destroy large portions of skyscrapers and in just a few shots Ryuutaros was at risk of annihilating an entire local park.

Powers and Abilities: Super Strength, Super Speed, Super Durability, Incredible reflexes(Dodges bullets point blank), Mind control.

Weaknesses: He doesn't bother aiming when he fires. Also underestimates his opponents a lot.

Destructive Capacity: Large building level+(Far above this.)

Range: Range is only limited by his line of sight.

Speed: 100m/4s

Durability: City level+ (Via powerscaling; Den-Liner form took the brunt of an attack that was meant to wipe out a timeline so that Ryotaro could weaken it's effect. It's stated it's only stat that's higher than the other forms is it's speed. Ryuutaros also survived being in close proximity of the attack in his physical form without the Den-O armor.)

Strength: 12tons+

Stamina: Far beyond peak human, virtually limitless.

Standard Equipment: DenGnasher Gun. The rounds are never actually shown, but they appear to be bullet sized, energy based explosive rounds with enough force to knock-back people of similar levels of durability to the Den-O forms.

Intelligence: He's about as intelligent as a hyperactive child.

Notable Attacks/Techniques: Charge Shot; Charges his weapon with the DenLiner-pass like everyone else, causing the two apparatus on his shoudlers to further charge his weapon with energy. He can then unleash a concentrated single shot, in the form of a large sphere of energy, or a widespread stream of energy to cover a larger area.
