Sora is a pretty happy guy. You'd think you'd get a little more than down in the dumps if you lose everything you have to an all consuming cosmic darkness, but he's more than willing to shrug off most of his own personal troubles and focus on the job at hand. That job tends to revolve around his two best friends, Riku and Kairi, and various movements thereof, and possibly saving the multiverse on the side. When it comes to prioritizing, Sora can get a little dodgy - yeah, so what if he is the keyblade master? Find him his friends; then he'll talk. But if push comes to shove and there's no one else but the keyblade master who can save the day, Sora is always ready to step up to the plate, given maybe a nudge or two. Because he is a nice guy; a little slow on the uptake, maybe, sometimes selfish, sometimes blunt and aggressive to a fault, sure, but he can get behind a good cause and push with the best of them, because once he sees a good reason to help, sees a person in need, he just can't find a good reason not to help. Outgoing and curious, competitive and outspoken, he clashes and bickers with the people he meets sometimes, but they tend to come out the other end as friends, even if they were the worst of enemies before. Sora doesn't like to hate people at all, but if you can't agree with him on a few key things - friends, peace, the common good - it'll be hard for him to find a way to get you on his side. Sora's everyone's friend, in the end - he defines himself with his friendships, especially through his friendships with Riku and Kairi, who help ground his casual spirit, give him something to fight for and treasure. Sora is the sky, free-spirited and likable. Sora rescues people, whether they like it or not. And they do end up liking it in the end. It's just how he rolls.

(EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW IS HERE)

Sora was a normal 14 year old boy living on a perfect island paradise with his best friends Riku and Kairi. Kairi had come from another land, mysteriously found on the island when they were young and raised there like their own. The three hatched a plan to sail a homemade raft out to sea to find Kairi's old home (and whatever else was out there); it was mostly Riku's idea, but as Sora worked together with them on the raft, he found himself getting interested in the idea of other worlds. If there really were other worlds out there, he wanted to see them all.

Oh, and he had been having some really weird dreams lately, but that couldn't be relevant at all, right?

One dark and stormy night, Sora realized that their raft wouldn't survive said dark and stormy night. He went out to the play island where their raft was hidden only to find that things had gotten much, much worse than he had imagined. How much worse? Well, for one thing, the world was ending. He found Kairi in the play island (which was infested by this time by the Heartless, dark beings that he couldn't destroy) by a mysterious door in a cave that no one had really put much thought into. After acting very strangely, she appeared to faint, disappearing as he went to catch her. Thoroughly freaked out by now, he ran into Riku, who told him that the key to other worlds was through the darkness. While standing in a pool of darkness, Riku told Sora to come with him to another world. Sora didn't manage to take Riku's hand before the darkness sucked his best friend in. He was left clinging onto the last remnant of his destroyed island until the darkness enveloped it entirely. So yeah, that was pretty bad.

And then things just got weird.

He woke up on another world and met several other people who were also refugees of the darkness which was, apparently, eating all of the stars in the sky. And since every star was a world… shit was seriously kind of gnarly at this point. Upon being attacked by the heartless again, Sora suddenly manifested a new power - by concentrating, he could summon the Keyblade, a weapon granted to those strong of heart. Two recent arrivals to the world, Goofy and Donald, had been ordered to search for the wielder of the Keyblade, and fortunately, they crashed into each other fairly quickly. Upon being told that he would have to undertake a great quest to lock the keyholes of each of the remaining worlds so the spreading darkness wouldn't be able to consume their hearts, Sora agreed, but only under the condition that he could look for his missing friends. With the deal struck, Sora started traveling, and found himself getting invested in the new worlds he visited and new friend he made.

He found Riku eventually, but his friend had changed. Riku challenged him to find Kairi across the worlds, mocking Sora when he found Kairi's empty shell first. Something had stolen her heart, but she hadn't turned into a Heartless. Weirder yet, Sora started seeing Kairi from time to time. She would speak to him and reminisce, but it became clear that he was the only one who could actually see her.

He finally reached the penultimate world, the source of the spread of darkness - Hollow Bastion, the world of the rising falls. By this time, Riku had made it clear that he had been cooperating with the powers of darkness, capturing the Princesses of Heart for Maleficent in order to access Kingdom Hearts, the world all hearts go when they leave the body and from where all new hearts are born. It was a place of immense power, and the forces of darkness wanted it. Riku also revealed that Sora was not the chosen wielder of the Keyblade - the keyblade in Sora's hands was Riku's. Riku proceeded to take the Keyblade from Sora's heart, stole his friends, and left him with a toy sword. However, with the help of Beast, he realized that his friends were quite literally his power. Using the belief in the power of his friendships, he was able to take the Keyblade back from Riku in their second confrontation. He proceeded deeper into Hollow Bastion and defeated Maleficent just in time for Riku to return… with a passenger. Riku wielded a new Keyblade, one that could unlock all the contents of the heart. He stabbed Maleficent in the heart to demonstrate its power; using the unlocked darkness in her heart, she turned into a massive dragon. Sora chased Riku into the heart of Hollow Bastion, where he was keeping Kairi's body. There, Sora finally defeated Riku in a duel. Afterward, Riku revealed the location of Kairi's heart - her heart had been inside Sora's all this time. Riku disappeared, leaving his keyblade behind, and Sora came up with both the most brilliant and the most idiotic idea he had ever had. He stabbed his own heart, releasing both his heart and Kairi's heart, the latter of which returned to her body. She woke up just in time to watch Sora disappear.

Ten minutes later, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy were running away from Ansem (who was being kept within Hollow Bastion by Riku's will) when they ran into a Heartless that would not go away. Kairi figured out that the little Shadow was Sora, and shielded him from the other Heartless. And somehow, that brought Sora's heart back.

After that, Sora had a lot of shit to do. He dropped Kairi off at Traverse Town for safekeeping, then headed off to rescue the worlds again, since apparently, whatever happened at Hollow Bastion completely undid the work he did in the first half of the game. After he got shit done, there was only one last thing to do - Ansem was back, and he was waiting for him at the End of the World. And this is where this get creepy, because for the first time in his life, Goofy got existential. Because if you destroy the End of the World, what happens to you?

They found out. As it turned out, at the heart of the End of the World was the door to Kingdom Hearts; after several rounds of battle against him, Ansem opened up Kingdom Hearts which, fortunately, was filled with the light. It pretty much nuked what was left of him.

As they went to shut the door, they noticed that Kingdom Hearts was also filled with a shitton of Heartless. They really couldn't close it fast enough, but fortunately, two very important things happened. Riku (or Riku's heart in the form of Riku) appeared at the other side of the door and started to pull the door closed with them, and King Mickey, whom Goofy and Donald had been searching for the entire time, kept the Heartless from exiting the door. Both were locked into Kingdom Hearts.

As the End of the World broke down, the survivors of the darkness returned to what remained of their homes; Kairi was sent back to a small strip of their island. Sora finally caught up with her, but decided not to return home in order to find a way to get Riku back from Kingdom Hearts. They parted as the worlds were restored.

AND THAT IS THE FIRST GAME. HOT DAMN.

The Keyblade Edit

Oh god where do we even start. Long story short, it is a giant key that acts as both a sword and a blunt bludgeony object. It comes in several different flavors! He's got all of the keychains needed to transform his Kingdom Key with him at the castle, but for the most part, he sticks to two or three different forms:

KINGDOM KEY	STR +3 MAG +1 ABILITY: Defender increases his defense when his HP is critically low. Just your average, every day Keyblade! He'll use this if he doesn't want to cause too much of a mess: using spells, unlocking stuff, and sparring with non-powereds fall under this category. Isn't it friendly looking? :) FUN FACT! Did you know that Sora's Keyblades can unlock ANY door? Even... doors that lock with advanced technology and no visible lock, THANKS BBS. Sora doesn't know this! He just knows that it can unlock most conventional locks... and doors to worlds... sigh.
SLEEPING LION	STR +5 MAG +3 ABILITY: Combo Plus adds one strike to his normal combo attack. Instead of hitting you three times, he hits you four. :D Given to him by Leon, this Keyblade is a little longer and hits a little harder than Kingdom: he uses this one to spar against powered friends and add more oomph to his spells. FUN FACT! You cannot take the Keyblade from Sora! It's connected to his heart, and he technically stores it there. It just flies or appears right back in his hand no matter where it is. It's pretty convenient.
ULTIMA WEAPON	STR +6 MAG +4 ABILITY: MP Hastega allows him to cast Curaga twice as fast! sob If you're on the receiving end of this one, you done fucked up now son. His largest (and prettiest) Keyblade, it will jack your shit up. FUN FACT! Yes, he slices through an actual skyscraper with these things. How ridiculous is this? VERY.

Magic Spells/AbilitiesEdit

Sora is actually a pretty accomplished magician! YES WAY. Here are all of the spells he can use at the castle.

• ( CURAGA ) Heals. Pretty straightforward. Is actually a very powerful spell, but it won't cure unconsciousness or death. Sora is surrounded by golden sparkles and flower petals and a bouquet of three flowers hover over his head when he casts it, and the people he casts it on are surrounded by more golden petals and surrounded by green vines. YEAH, IT'S PRETTY GAY.
• ( FIRAGA ) Fiyaaaaah! He can cast a huge fireball in a straight line (KHI style) and make it surround him in a ring (KHII style). Burns shit. Looks badass.
• ( BLIZZAGA ) Big chunk of ice heading towards you. Can freeze shit. Can shoot it in a spread or as a single projectile.
• ( THUNDAGA ) Electricity from the skyyyyyy. Electrifies... stuff. He used to be much better at this spell, sob, but now he can only attack one person with it - if he tries to target any more, he'll end up hitting everyone in his general vicinity. Oops.
• ( MAGNEGA ) Fucking magnet spell HOW DO THEY WORK?! If it's around him, it gets sucked up... and it takes damage. Fortunately, it doesn't affect anyone he doesn't want it to affect. Good deal!
• ( REFLEGA ) Makes a clear shield materialize all around him that kind of looks like a glass dome before OH GOD MY TEETH. And then you go flying. Only lasts for a few seconds, but damn it hurts if you run into it. You can beat Sephiroth with this spell alone. True story.
• ( STOP ) Stops time. Sora isn't very good at this spell anymore.
• ( AERO ) Creates gusts of wind for attack and defense. Sora isn't very good at this spell anymore
• ( GRAVITY ) Creates gravity on any surface, and increases gravity if it's in the same direction as the strongest force of gravity in the area. Sora isn't very good at this spell anymore.

Dead Zone Sword Edit

The thing is, though, once Sora's out in the Dead Zone, the Keyblade and all of his special swag lose their mojo. So! He has a regular sword for that. Here it is. Pretty underwhelming, eh? WELL SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU WHORE, HIS AWESOME BRO GAVE IT TO HIM AND HE CUTS SHIT UP GOOD WITH IT. Seriously. 8( Lol, with all due seriousness, it actually got beat up pretty bad when the spider queen's acid blood from the spider plot ate it up good. But he has since then gotten it fixed! He practices with this sword as much (if not more) than his Keyblade. He can even cast Blizzard spells with it! 8)b

Other Abilities Edit

• Can jump pretty damn high! Think... his own height. Five feet. Several times in a row.
• And then he can jump again. DOUBLE JUMP OH SHIT
• HE CAN GLIDE! He can't fly, but he can kick off from a high point and glide until he hits ground again. Kind of like a flying squirrel, but with no arm-flaps.
• Can fall from extremely tall heights and survive.
• Slide-dash! It's this... really long slide, I have no idea how it works. Handy for dodging things!
• Dodge Roll! It's... a roll. He uses it to dodge things. He can roll...forever. HE'S GOT SOME REALLY GOOD INNER EQUILIBRIUM.
• Super endurance! He can run foreeeeeever.
• Teleportation/Flash Steps.

• Kairi: Beautiful sweet princess gurl. ;; Sora has such a HUGE CRUSH on her; it's very easy to pick on him for it. He's completely devoted to keeping her safe and basically treats her like the light of his life... which she is, literally. She's saved his life more than once and he's saved hers, they're basically huge fags for each other, I don't even............. THEY MIGHT BE DATING!? nothing official yet, stay tuuuned

• Riku: First rule about being friends with Sora: You do not screw around with Riku and Kairi. Second rule about being friends with Sora: you do not screw around with Riku and Kairi. That being said, of the two people that Sora holds dearest to him, Riku is his oldest pal and best friend. They grew up together from tiny little kneebiters to the bros they are right now, and even after he and Riku fought each other across the universe, when Riku was trapped in the darkness, Sora scoured planet after planet and the darkness and the depths of nonexistence itself searching for until they were reunited. Even if bickering seems to be the main way they communicate, Sora plain adores Riku. They are bff4lyfe, and if anyone tries to get between them, they are in for a world of Angry Sora. WHY YOU GONE BRO

• Donald Duck: WHERE DO I EVEN START WITH THIS MOTHERFUCKING BRO. SHIT'S CASH. THIS MAN IS FUCKING REAL. WHEN THE DUCK QUACKS, I PITY THE FOOL.

• Roxas: Okay, so when he first got here, Sora was immediately SCREAMING ON THE INSIDE and... very curious. One of his dearest wishes was to be able to meet his other self, and getting that granted (and in a way where they could actually be friends) was... well, amazing. He genuinely, really likes Roxas, and he genuinely, really wants Roxas to have a good time doing whatever the hell he wants. All that lying kind of... backfired. Like spitting into the wind. Cold spit in his face. Ew. 8(a Well, basically, Roxas knows the truth now. Now he's just... hoping Roxas doesn't hate him too bad for hiding it.

• Squall "Leon" Leonhart: Leader of the Radiant Garden Restoration thingy, and kinda has a stick up his ass. Still, even though he's the kind of guy who would beat you up before actually explaining why he did it, he's not a bad sort at all. Sora really likes making fun of his uptight nature and perpetual scowl, but it's all in good fun. Sora has enormous respect for his fighting skill, having crossed blades with him more than once. Tons of mad trust here. Kinda worried about him at Paradisa - I mean, how the heck do you forget about Cid?

• Cloud Strife (KH): Darkness battling buddies... sort of. In reality, Sora's only been mostly on the sidelines for what he thinks is the most epic rivalry in the history of the universe, and he's even held off his epic rival - long silver hair dude - until Cloud comes along to continue his epic rivalry. The whole light and dark manifestation parts are a little above and beyond what Sora would care to try to understand, but he doesn't mind having Cloud around at all. He's a pretty chill guy if you're not the one fighting him, if a little too emo.
