PersonalityEdit

Quiet and gentle, Subaru is one who likes to avoid conflict while he can-- if that means sticking his head in the sand and pretending the rest of the world doesn't exist, he can totally do that. Though a lover of fun and science, just like dear old dad, circumstances had turned a once-carefree child into a coward and a shut-in.

While naturally skilled in a physical fight, Subaru detests violence; as he's spent time as Rockman, however, he's developed a sense of when to stand his ground instead of running like a derp.

Of course, it doesn't translate as well in Para, where kids like him are supposed to run. Oops.

BackgroundEdit

Up until he was eight years old, Subaru was a happy little boy who loved outer space and looked up to his father (conveniently, an astronaut) until one day, his father went into space on a mission... and never returned. Subaru freaked out bad over this (Heroic BSOD anyone?) and over the next three years, Subaru continued to mourn the loss of his father, and refused to go to school for fear that he may be hurt the same way by friendships with others. Studying at home, he's not focused at all, and his thoughts are always with his father, out in space somewhere...

Life continues for Subaru in the same way until one day a family friend, Mr. Amachi, comes to call, and hands Subaru a pair of unusual glasses- a "Visualizer" which belonged to his dad.

That same day, he is confronted by his classmates Gonta, Kizamaro, and the class president Luna on the way to his usual stargazing spot. Naturally, they bug him about coming back to school- Subaru pretty much just blows them off and continues on his merry way to do some ANGSTY STARGAZING. Which he does... before he's struck by an incredibly fast moving bolt of light that was pretty huge and hilarious to watch in the anime version

With his Visualizer, Subaru is able to see and converse with the alien fugitive WarRock, who lures Subaru into letting him 'hide out' in his transer/body in exchange for information about his father. Subaru quickly finds out that the two of them can merge to become a single entity- later to be known as Rockman.

Insert generic villain-a-week plot where all of his friends get possessed by angry alien things. And this green-haired kid keeps popping up everywhere. AND HE MAKES FRIENDS WITH AN UNDERAGE IDOL... KID... GIRL... MISORA-CHAAAANNNN. Then his new bff Tsukasa turns out to be a schizo, tries to kill him with SUPAPOWAHS and then tells him they can't see each other anymore, which causes another Heroic BSOD (because Subaru gets them LOTS) and Subaru proceeds to go into super-emo-WHONEEDSFRIENDSIDON'T mode. It takes some more 'omfg world is in danger' craziness and THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP (and girls?) to get him to snap out of it. Subaru goes to the dump where there is a conveniently placed Space Lab under a pile of junk, where he's able to head into space and DEFEAT THE ALIEN THREAT-- but what's this? crazy-alien-that-helped-Tsukasa-go-crazy WASN'T REALLY DEAD, OH NOES! He kicks the crap out of Subaru and just about kills him before Tsukasa comes out of nowhere and throws himself in front of the final blow--

And then Subaru wakes up in Paradisa screaming.

He doesn't return home for nearly two years. Upon his return, he travels up into the Space Station Peace-- the very same that his father had been working on when the FM aliens began their assault on Earth. There, he does battle with Andromeda, talks with the king of the FMs, Cepheus, and finds out that this whole shebang was Gemini's fault because he took advantage of the paranoid king. THEY BECOME FRIENDS AND EVERYONE GOES HOME.

• Talented with machinery, can repair small machines after a short look at it

WarRock - An alien composed of radio waves that crash landed ontop of Subaru and is now his freeloadin' best buddy. He likes violence, which Subaru does not, but together they KICK ASS.

Hoshikawa Daigo and Akane - Pareeents ;3; Dad died in space (or rather, was turned into waves and cast into the cosmos which PRETTY MUCH MEANS DEAD) but Subaru insists that he's alive out there, somewhere. And Mom is ultimate single mother working several jobs and Subaru misses her so. ;A;

Misora Hibiki - IDOL-CHAN~ ...um, no, he just calls her Misora because he sees her as a normal person, unlike everyone else in the damn series. Misora was his first Brotherband, and as such they share a special bond. They're ttly bff and she crushes openly on him but you know... main character syndrome ahaha;; With the help of her FM partner, Lyra, she can become Harp Note and attack people with NOISE. ...And stabbing with guitar strings idk.

Luna Shirogane - Also openly crushing, except more on Rockman than Subaru. She's the bossy class president and turned into a freaky snake woman thing once and tried to kill her parents. YAY! She can be intimidating, but truly cares for her friends, and Subaru is grateful for the support. :)

Tsukasa Futaba - Yes, Tsukasa has like... severe MPD and shares a brain with another entity named 'Hikaru', who likes things like revenge and violence and beating up Subaru. Oh yeah, and they turn into Gemini Spark and make people do weird stuff. Regardless of all the past tuuuuurmoil, Tsukasa and Subaru gayed it up in Para when Subaru got here. Then he left and Soobie was sad. Then he came back, left again, and left Subaru rather emotionally conflicted about the whole thing. Ghhh.

Gonta + Kizamaro - Luna's lackeys. Not very interesting, but Subaru can BrotherBand with them in-game? They're good guys, even if they are kind of pushy.

Amachi-san - Family friend, knew his father very well. Amachi gave the Visualizer to Subaru, yay! He's a scientist, like Daigo, and always offers good advice to Soobie and co.

Shinsuke Utagai - A coworker of Amachi's. His timid and distrusting nature made him an early FM alien target, but Rockman saved him before Cygnus Wing (his transformed state with-- tada, Cygnus) could do too much damage. Overall a good guy and a brilliant scientist, and he's now staying in Paradisa as well.

Solo - A big jerk.

A.C. Eos "Ace" - A cool guy.

Allen - He's always optomistic when Subaru isn't, and the kid admires him for that. He's a really nice guy, too, and they get along easily!

Apollo Justice - He's back! Subaru isn't allowed to call him Yelly guy anymore but that's okay.

Barney Stinson - Helped cheer him up at a time when things were crazy. Things get crazy a lot, so this guy is cool.

Cloud Strife - A friend of Luke's, who helped to rescue him during the Jurassic Park plot. Between that and Luke and Travis' leaving, the two of them have become friends.

Colette - She's so sweet and kind and pretty! Subaru always feels a little shy when he talks to her... and still gets all sdjkfhskdjfs over that accidental kiss. :D;;

Gino Weinberg - Left and came back; Subaru reintroduced himself. They only talked occasionally, until the one night Subaru found the Tristan and GOT A RIDE IN IT. Gino is super cool. *_*

Ken - They met around the start of the Dead Space plot. The two of them share some common interests, and Subaru always enjoys talking to him.

Reno - A helpful guy. Kind of scary, but he sounds like he knows what he's doing a lot of the time.

Asano Rin - Met on Mother's Day when Rin mentioned missing her ...dead mother. Subaru could relate.

Sakaki - She's a little scary, but stil pretty nice.

Wyborne 'Wybie' Lovat - One of Coraline's friends from home. They spoke briefly over the journal about the world he was from, and now generally geek out over stuff together.

Also!Edit

• Subaru's hobbies include anything to do with outer space (stargazing, mostly) and toying with gadgets. He's pretty adept at fixing things.
• Has a big telescope sat up on Paradisa's roof. It's his baby, please don't destroy it. :,(
• Got Equipped with the Hunter-VG!
• Subaru's glasses broke, like, a long time ago, but he got them back at Christmas. ♥
• Since the Pokemon plot... CAN HAS TYPHLOSION? His name is Rock and he alternates between living in the stables and in Subaru's room, depending on either of their moods.
• Can has daddy issues. He does not take well to people saying mean things about him. Or that he's dead.
