The Joker might've been a normal man, once.One night gone awry and a confrontation with the Batman at Ace's Chemical Plant must've changed all of that.Dropped into a vat of chemicals so potent they bleached his skin white and twisted his physical features beyond recognition, the man became a veritable monster. He was transformed into something - something twisted, something undeniably warped and cruel. The man once known under the alias "Jack Napier" now adopted a new one: "The Joker." Taking the guise of a clown - a symbol for cheer and happiness (for most, anyway) - he perverted that identity to be something unrecognizable, something to be feared, and feared for good reason.

If a clown is meant to make people laugh, the Joker finds he's often the only one chuckling; he derives a sort of demented glee from inflicting pain onto his hapless victims, but all of his plots and ruminations mean nothing if not for one thing: the Bat.Batman is his polar opposite. For all the sadistic joy Joker partakes when he tortures innocent people to see his plans unfold, none of it means anything is there is not that figure of justice, authority and hope standing in his way and attempting to foil his ministrations. He is a nihilistic creature that delights in that attention, that single-minded opposition to what he sees as his genius and mortifying creative endeavors. The Joker is chaos and anarchy; the Batman is control and authority. They foil one another perfectly.

Both charming and enigmatic, he is a man fueled by his own ego. As far as he's concerned, no one is as intelligent or as cunning as he is. No criminal can lay claim to greater fame than the Joker in Gotham, and it's likely none would wish to - he's made clear he has no problem taking down his fellow lawless villains if they tread upon his turf. Even so, they're free to attempt to kill Batman as many times as they'd like, and why? Because the Joker is confident he's the only man capable of seeing the job through.Not that he would. Without Batman, what is the Joker but another crazy on the streets, his evil deeds going unpunished for there is no almighty Dark Knight to stop him and appreciate his genius?

Despite the fact he holds himself in such high regard, part of the Joker's danger is his unpredictability; he harbors little thought for his own life for the sake of the "punchline," though he'll act in his own best interests if the job isn't done, sacrificing just about anyone and everything to reach those ends. Nothing is sacred, nothing is precious to him, and no one, no one is safe from his wrath should it be sparked. He can go from jovial and cheerful to murderous and sadistic in a matter of seconds. A friendly smile could turn into a gunshot to the face without warning.Simply put: you don't fuck with the Joker.

para punchlines Edit

• The Joker delivers TVs to all the residents of Paradisa, and has them tune in to "The Dating Game," featuring Clark, Donna, Claire, and Lana! Only this one has a real... explosive ending.
• Breaks out of PP prison with the assistance of "Queenie" and "Jack."
• Makes his grand debut by playing human darts! And learns that *HIS* Batman is dead. Kills said human dartboard. 8( We knew ye well, npc.
• Decides to play a game with the townsfolk during the "mistletoe bells" event.
• Welcomes the influx of Bat-kidlets to Paradisa... in his own way. He really cares, kids. Really.

relationships Edit

• Harley - Joker's little poo, Harley is his prized possession. Formerly his psychiatrist at Arkham oh so long ago, he warped her mind and shaped her into the beautiful if somewhat dim creation she is today! She's like a walking punchline, proof of his true genius. Unflappably loyal and great in bed with the whoopee cushion, baby.
• Yaya - "Queenie" is Joker's little gal! She's proven herself a loyal little muffin, doing his bidding and lending him her strength - and he didn't even have to ask! She broke him outta prison without him lifting a finger. Her monotone laughing is utterly endearing, lemme tell ya.
• Bakura - "Jack." He talks tough, but Jack is a sucker for Queenie, and Queenie is a sucker for the Joker. You see how it goes. He has some useful abilities - such as phasing through solid objects, delightful! - so he's a great tool to have around.
• Tony - Peace Patrol wonder boy. Joker finds him seriously amusing - the guy isn't half-bad when he isn't busy being a nosy do-gooder. He might buy him a drink one day. He might EVEN forget to slip the Joker toxin in if he's feeling generous!
• Bat-kids - There are too many of them to name, but they're all the same, aren't they? Unflappably loyal to PEACE, JUSTICE, and the AMERICAN WAY of being incredibly annoying and wearing spandex while doing so. He really loves them all, and plans on showing them firsthand. <3
• Damian - Bruce. Wayne's. Son. Do you not understand how amazing that is? Damian is going to get Mistah J's... personal attention.
• Dick - FAKE. BAT. Joker doesn't know what's funnier - the fact THIS Robin put on the Cowl or how hilariously terrible he is at wearing it. Either way, he's seriously got his days numbered for having the audacity.
• Terry - Con... fusing.  Another Batman, but all tech-y and... strange.
• The Accountant - Has expressed his interest in providing certain... services to dear ol' Uncle Joker. And you know what? He might just take him up on that offer. 8)
• Clark - Clark, oh, Clark. Superman. Stupidman. The Big Blue. There is so much we could say about Clark - but in the end the only thing that matters is that he's still as nice on the eyes in his youth. He's horrible at improv, though. Really needs to work on his performance.
• Claire - Cute, has spunk, regenerates! What's not to like? Gassed her, once... fun times.
• Donna - Needs to die in a tragic baby doll factory fire.
