shintenshin/mind-body switch ➛ Allows Ino to enter the mind of another person or animal. Basically, she makes her consciousness the dominant one in the other person's mind, and is able to then control their body completely. She can also hear what the other person is thinking while possessing them. Unfortunately, there are a lot of drawbacks to using this technique - her body is left completely defenseless while she's using it, her soul will only travel in a straight line, and it moves pretty slowly. Also, any damage inflicted on the person possessed will also happen to her while she's in their body (unless she cancels the jutsu before getting hit). Because of this, it's generally not a technique ever used in battle.
shinranshin/mind-body disturbance ➛ Similar to Shintenshin, except much safer to use because it doesn't actually require her leaving her body. Ino sends her chakra into the opponent's nervous system, thus operating the enemy's body at will. Their bodies are disconnected from their will and though they are aware of what's happening they are unable to stop themselves. It's able to be used from a much further distance than Shintenshin as well.
shousen/mystical palm ➛ This is the technical term for medical ninjutsu. It allows her to speed up the body's natural healing process and fix up wounds without performing surgery, implementing stitches, etc. This technique requires a great amount of chakra control, so only a few skilled medic-nin are able to use it.
chakra hair trap ➛ This pretty much boils down to Ino infusing her own hair with chakra in order to make whoever touches it completely immobile. Similar to Shikamaru's shadow jutsu, except most people with a decent amount of chakra control could probably figure out how to do it. She is probably the one of the only ninja to actually use her hair as a weapon ...
genjutsu ➛ In the video games, she's also shown using a flower-based genjutsu in which ROCKS FALL and EVERYONE DIES. Uh, but really, she disguises hundreds of exploding tags as flower petals to trick you into a false sense of security until everything blows up. Her genjutsu stat is pretty high, so I'm guessing this technique is pretty difficult to break.
telepathy ➛ Ino can actually ... talk to people telepathically using her chakra. She just keeps a stable chakra link into someone else's mind. This link breaks if she's startled or attacked. This was somewhat recently revealed so she hasn't really used it much. Only other Yamanakas can actually have a conversation using this jutsu, though. Otherwise she can just send a message from herself to the other person.
Born to Yamanaka Inoichi and ..... whoever her mom was, Ino was born close to the Kyuubi incident, in which the village was pretty much flattened by an accident revolving around the monster getting loose from its host. However, after that was resolved, Ino grew up quite peacefully in a strong-willed, confident girl. It's likely that as a kid she became friends with Shikamaru and Chouji, as all their fathers were once on a team together (not unlike how their children would find themselves later) and were very close. She entered the Academy in order to become a ninja at a young age (most likely 6 or 7) and became the best student in her class in all subjects. During that time she met Sakura, who was being bullied because of the large size of her forehead. She scared off the bullies and gave Sakura a hair ribbon, telling her that hiding her undesirable traits would only get her teased more. From then on, they became best friends.
However, upon the discovery that the both of them had crushes on Sasuke, Sakura decided to end their friendship, declaring them rivals over his love, and returning the hair ribbon Ino gave her. For years the two of them were constantly bickering and competing over every little thing, constantly arguing over who Sasuke liked more, and even going so far as to both grow their hair out long based on a rumor that Sasuke liked girls with long hair.
That isn't to say they hated each other, though - Ino seemed to have regretted letting the friendship devolve into petty fighting, but nonetheless was determined to win. During the Chuunin Exam, to Sakura's surprise, she led her team to defend Sakura when she was unable to fight back against the Sound team that was after Sasuke. She also offered to even out the ends of Sakura's hair after she chopped it off. Despite this moment of bonding, the two of them were pitted against each other in the semi-finals, and had a pretty intense and long-lasting fight where they literally beat the crap out of each other. Afterwards, however, they made up and decided to be friends again, despite their shared interest in Sasuke.

And then a lot of shit went down where Konoha was invaded, Sasuke skipped town, and there was a giant timeskip of doom. What actually happened to her during those three omitted years hasn't been expanded on (in manga canon, anyways - there are several anime filler episodes featuring her and the various missions she was sent on during the time inbetween), but we do know that she took the Chuunin exam again and passed at 14.
When we next see her, she's swapped out her (also in bad taste) former outfit for a more revealing, simpler outfit. There's a few scenes with her and Sai, who she seems to now canonly have a crush on instead of Sasuke. Not long after this, her sensei Asuma was killed by a member of Akatsuki (Hidan) while presumably trying to find out more information on them. This caused a lot of angst on Team 10's part, and after a good amount of grieving, Shikamaru managed to put himself together enough to formulate a plan in which they would be able to take down Hidan, despite his immortality, and his partner Kakuzu. Tsunade stopped them at the village gates before they could leave, insisting that they were committing suicide, but they were determined to get revenge for Asuma's death. Luckily, Kakashi offered to take the place of squad leader where Asuma would have normally been, and they set off. With the help of Naruto's team, they were able to defeat both Hidan and Kakuzu.
She kind of disappears again until the Akatsuki leader, Pain, attacks the village and starts blowing stuff up. She helped in the process of discovering the source of Pain's power (since she noticed it was similar to her own clan's powers), leading to his defeat.
I'll be honest - the likelihood of this ever being filled out is about zero. After almost four years of game time there's no way I can go back and chronicle everything. :( Especially since she has so many entries that I literally cannot go back and see them all.

Ino is extremely confident and outspoken. She thinks very highly of herself, and is a natural leader, often taking charge of exploits she's involved in and bossing everyone around. Though she's learned better to take orders from others in recent years, when she was younger she went so far as to name their team "Team Ino". She definitely isn't afraid to speak her mind, and she always has an opinion on just about everything. She can be outright rude or bitchy to people who cross her the wrong way or irritate her for some reason, and her temper is something to be feared. She doesn't get angry too easily, but when she does it's bad news for whoever caused it. Comedically, she tends to beat the crap out of anyone who pisses her off. More seriously, she's capable of holding a grudge forever, and will go to great lengths to irritate the other person and get under their skin. Depending on their offense, she may even take it upon herself to make their life absolutely miserable.
She can be a huge brat sometimes and hates it when things don't go her way. She also tends to turn everything into a contest or some sort of competition ... and she hate hate HATES losing. She'll go to just about any length possible to win, whether it involves cheating, manipulation, even using sex appeal. She's also extremely vain, often spending a lot of time on her appearance. She's extremely concerned with how she looks - especially when there are cute boys around - and often mentions that she's dieting to keep herself thin, because "boys like skinny girls". ... She's also a huge flirt, and just about any guy who's at least moderately attractive can expect to find himself being subject to her charm.
Despite all that, though, she is actually very kind and caring. She absolutely hates bullying and has a soft spot for people who have low self-esteem or let themselves be walked all over, taking it upon herself to help them become more confident in themselves and be proud of who they are. She cares deeply for the people who she considers her friends, and will often be the first to rush to their aid if they need it. She loves helping people out, and even though she jokes about people 'owing her one' for a favor, she rarely expects anything in return.
She is also extremely intelligent and perceptive - she was able to find creative ways to use her chakra in order to accomplish different feats, and graduated at the top of her class, tied with Sasuke and Shino. She was also able to tell a person's occupation just by looking at the condition of their hands, and she can usually assess the seriousness and usually origin of a wound just by looking at it.
yamanaka inoichi ➛ Daddy! They get along famously at home, and she helps him run the flower shop when he's busy. She really misses him. Part of the original Ino-Shika-Cho team.
yamanaka fū ➛ A cousin, perhaps? His relationship to Ino is unknown, but she probably knows of his existence since he's a part of the Yamanaka Clan. He's a high ranking member of ROOT which means he's loyal to Danzou. BAD FAMILY MEMBER. B| Also, apparently all Yamanaka clan members wear ponytails.
sarutobi asuma ➛ Sensei. :( Though her initial impression of him was not that great, she became extremely fond of him over time, thinking of him as a second father figure. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and Asuma was killed by Hidan. He told her as he was dying to watch over her teammates and not to lose to Sakura. She misses him, and kind of secretly hopes that he might show up in Paradisa someday. It would be really awesome to see him again.
nara shikamaru ➛
Teammate. Their relationship mostly consists of Ino nagging Shikamaru and him doing what she says to get her to stop nagging. ... But really, they're very close. Ino knows she can depend on him in times of need, and despite her complaints about his laziness and how he just lays around staring at clouds all day, she's extremely proud of his actual good traits and often brags about how smart he is.
akimichi chouji ➛
Teammate. He is kind of like a .... big, giant teddy bear. So cuddly c: She's always pestering him to lose weight for some reason, even though she knows he needs the extra fat for his family's jutsu. She's often looking out for him by telling people not to call him fat since it really makes him mad. (Then again, she isn't completely above letting an enemy push that button and letting them see where that gets them.) But overall she trusts him and cares about him, and is looking out for him kind of like a sister might.
Haruno Sakura ➛ BFF 4 lyfe. Sakura is extremely important to her! You could say that Sakura is kind of like her grounding - often the voice of reason or the one to challenge her authority. She ... actually likes this about her, and values her opinion very much, even if she doesn't always show it. They tend to show their love for each other by constantly calling each other names and provoking/teasing each other. They are also rivals, and often compete to see who will be the best.
Uchiha Sasuke ➛ Ugh, you so complicated, boy. Once upon a time she had a pretty dumb, shallow crush on him, and it was all very silly and 12-year-oldish. Then he kind of turned around and walked right out of the village to go train with Creeper McCreepington and she sort of had to re-evaluate her thoughts on him. She seemed to have abandoned her crush on him by the time the timeskip was over. She still views him as a comrade and a friend, though. She's had some time in-game to get to know him better and has kind of taken on a Naruto-like attitude in terms of how to deal with him -- keeping up constant confidence that he has good in him somewhere.
uzumaki naruto ➛ She isn't very well acquainted with him, for the most part, but she knows that he's definitely grown up from the gross, smelly prankster that he used to be in Academy. ... Well, kinda. They're pretty similar in a lot of ways.
sai ➛ Called her Miss Beautiful. ♥ Such a charmer, Sai! She thinks he's cute, and wants to get to know him better.
inuzuka kiba ➛ Dog boy. She doesn't seem to have much contact with him canonly, but she probably finds him smelly ...
Hyuuga Hinata ➛ So cute! And what a great rack. If Kishimoto didn't hate women and never write about them or what they're doing, I'd think that Hinata might be Ino's next project in terms of getting her to be more confident in herself.
aburame shino ➛ CREEPY GUY. He was also at the top of their Academy class. He's been here once and she was glad for the ally .... but he's still kind of weird. I mean really how do you deal with those nasty bugs living in your body all the time. Guh-rossss.
hyuuga neji ➛ ELITE DOUCHE. Okay, actually she probably thinks he's hot for that very reason. Other than when she ... attempted to charm him in the forest and watched him almost kill Hinata in the semifinals, she hasn't really had any contact with him on-screen. I like to think they may have had a decent conversation or two at some point ...
rock lee ➛ Okay this guy is pretty weird. And in love with Sakura. She might be more approving if the guy didn't wear a green spandex body suit with orange legwarmers. Can you say clashing colors and unnecessary groin exposure?
tenten ➛ THAT OTHER CHICK. Who knows if these two have even spoken ... ever. But she's probably tried to entice her into going shopping when Sakura was busy.
hatake kakashi ➛ Definitely, definitely owes him one for helping out Team 10 get revenge for Asuma. Other than the in-game tentacle incident which shall not be spoken of ever again, she really respects him.
yuuhi kurenai ➛ Asuma was her baby daddy. Since he's not around to take care of the ... presumably soon to be born baby, Team 10 will probably be its figurative daddy. And second mommy in Ino's case.
zaku/dosu/kin ➛ ASS WIPES N BASTERTS. Does not like them, will never like them.
orochimaru ➛ UGH SO CREEPY. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT LONG TONGUE ANYWAYS??? AND THE OBSESSION WITH LITTLE BOYS??? Ino is so glad Sasuke killed you, mister.
hidan ➛ Oh my god she hates this guy more than anything in this damn worldddddd. As Asuma's killer, she wants nothing more than to see him explode into flames a million times. He's actually immortal so he can't really DIE, but ohhh she wishes he could. HATE WITH A SIDE ORDER OF LOATHING.
kakuzu ➛ Icky partner of Hidan's. Strangled her and threw her into a tree, which was NOT VERY NICE. But mostly he's just guilty by associating with that asswipe Hidan.
other akatsuki ➛ YOU'RE ALL GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION TOO. EFF YOU GUYS. Also pissed off at Pain for, you know, leveling their village. Even if he did fix it.
Allen Walker ➛ BFF!!! No, really, she loves Allen so much, he's like a brother to her. It frustrates her that she isn't able to help him more, actually, whether it be in battle or with the 14th or whatever else. Which is why she tends to enjoy cooking for him - it gives her a reason to kind of spoil him ffff. It makes her so happy that he trusts her enough to go to her for advice and issues and stuff. She would pretty much go into shock if he left - she can't imagine Paradisa without him and she's gotten so used to him being around whenever she needs/wants him that it would devastate her to not have him around :(
Leroy Schwartz ➛ She initially started talking to him because ... he looked exactly like Sasuke, except older and hotter. Eventually she got to know his tall, dark and broody self a little better and sort of developed a crush on him, despite telling herself she really really shouldn't. They have a friends-with-lots-and-lots-of-benefits type thing going on. And she's promised to be there to bring him back if he loses it for some reason and becomes his cray cray inner demon. Loves teasing him. OFFICIAL BOYFRAIN NOW?! KIND OF???
Anthony J. Crowley ➛ She ... thinks you are pretty cool, Crowley. While sometimes she just kind of shakes her head at him in that SIGH, OH YOU kind of way, a lot of the time his pranks and stuff amuse her and she'd totally be up for helping him out so she can watch the reactions. She .. thinks it's adorable how hard he tries to be evil which is why she gets a kick out of teasing him about adopting puppies and stuff. Tsundere-chan Crowley~~ She also actually ... really likes going to him for advice if she's having a problem. This is most likely because Crowley never really yells at her.
Arthur Pendragon ➛ Okay. Ino kind of thinks Arthur is a bit of a stuck up butthole. Normally, this would be a bad thing. However, Ino actually really loves stuck up buttholes. This is because they are a challenge in the sense that she wants to psychoanalyze them and find out WHY they're a stuck up butthole, which involves this big game of GET THIS PERSON TO TRUST ME. tl;dr YOU ARE A WORK IN PROGRESS ARTHUR ... But anyways. Besides that, she thinks he's pretty cute, and he seems like he's pretty loyal, reliable, and at the very least consistent, which is nice. ALSO HE IS A GUY ... WHO LISTENED TO HER FLOWER BABBLE. Which means he gets extra points.
Gaignun Kukai, Jr. ➛ Stayed with Guts for a little bit and ... cleaned the house for her for Christmas. She likes him a lot and thinks he's a pritty kewl guy, though a bit shonen-y and quick to act. She found out that he's actually super old despite looking super young ... and kind of kicked herself for thinking he was adorable. LMFAO. But she still cares a lot about him and enjoys spending time with him. Was involved in the hooking up of him and Chie. YOU'RE WELCOME JR.
Julian "Hellion" Keller ➛ AAAA LOVEHATE. Okay really, she thinks that Julian is an interesting and fun person to be around, and she enjoys talking to him/hanging out with him/etc. And she thinks he's cute. But he also does a lot of really stupid shit that pisses her off, and sometimes his attitude goes unappreciated. This may or may not have led to her attempting to bitchslap him with his own couch. Mostly, though, she prefers being on good terms with him. She knows he's got a good side deep down, but sometimes both of their egos collide.
Lavi ➛ One of her favorite people. He left, so he doesn't remember her, but she got beaten up by SBP trying to save him at one point. She ... likes flirting with him, LMAO.
Takamura Uru ➛ Ahhhh so cute. :) They were friends on her previous visit, when she came to the sleepover at Ino's house, but she obviously doesn't remember that now. Anyways, Ino finds Uru to be very trustworthy (she's the only one she's actually talked to about her relationship with Leroy ... kind of), and fun to hang out with. She ... really really wants to hook her up with a boyfriend. LOL.

pit ➛ AHHHHHSOCUTE. Seriously, every time she sees/hears Pit she just ... has to resist the urge to put his face between her boobs and hug him forever. She found him very trustworthy.
raine sage ➛ An intelligent and interesting lady who lives down the hall. They had tea together occasionally and her reports on the stuff going on in the World Beyond are also very helpful, which she likes! They previously had a bit of a conflict over Vergil but she doesn't remember him anymore, so it doesn't really concern her.
reno ➛ At first, she just made him remedies for his hangovers, but eventually they ended up becoming SORT OF FRIENDS?! He is ... like an older brother to her. Truly, she does respect that he's more mature (...well, usually) and generally smarter than she is. She actually feels bad about ending up arguing with him all the time when he generally has a valid point. HE JUST HAPPENS TO CATCH HER WHEN SHE'S REALLY EMOTIONALLY VULNERABLE ... which irritates the hell out of her because she kind of prides herself on being able to manipulate and trick people and kind of keep them out of her private business until she's ready to share. BUT RENO JUST KIND OF KICKS THAT IN THE ASS AND THEN BEATS IT WITH A STICK. He left and came back bawww ;; Now to get to know him again.
roy 'arsenal' harper ➛ Helped heal him up after he was rescued from that abandoned shack. Seems pretty cool for a guy who's already a dad.
ryou bakura/yami no bakura ➛ Ino has no idea wtf is going on with him. She thinks there are three Bakuras so when he does the sudden personality change even under a filter she is just like ... what. Mostly, she kind of thinks of him as a wimpy, cute kid that needs to be protected ... with her Amazon strength, of course. She is super curious about his nerdy hobbies since .... everyone in Naruto land is pretty much a jock or a loner, no nerds.
schuldig ➛ KIND OF AN ASSHOLE but she thought he was funny regardless. He also had mind reading powers so they .... bonded ... a bit over that, haha
suki ➛ Used to be one of her best girl friends in Paradisa, but then she left. She hasn't really had a chance to talk to her much since that first time she left, unfortunately.
superboy-prime ➛ Beat the crap out of her a long time ago. He's a big bully with way too many powers. :|
shayera ➛ John's gf. She was nice to her once or twice. Seemed to be a good friend of Reno's and Dante's when the original Deathmatch crew was around.
thief king bakura ➛ Surprisingly, she is a tiny bit sympathetic towards him. She knows how having your family killed can fuck a person up, because of Sasuke. HOWEVER. That does not excuse the majority of his behavior to her. B| She can't believe that he would drive someone to kill themselves, even if they were an enemy. Choking her in the middle of the street also lost him points. And yes, she knows he's a thief and doesn't really care that much if he steals things - it was more the trying to kill people for wanting it back that pissed her off. Aaaand of course she is very, very angry with him for the whole Dark Game thing where he mindraped her for trying to help Guts get rid of him. She definitely thinks he really needs to be taken down a notch :/ She intends to keep as many people as possible the hell away from him, but if she saw an opportunity for revenge that would definitely work out? She'd take it, no hesitation. ALSO she thinks Tyki can do better than him and doesn't like him hanging out with Tyki :/ BAD INFLUENCE. Sooo glad he's gone.
vergil ➛ She has an odd history with him - for awhile they got along pretty well, until Vergil turned into Nelo Angelo and she tried to use her Mind Transfer Jutsu on him, which caused her to see LORD CREEPY MCCREEPINGTON Mundus, which kills .. people who look at it normally but just gave her nightmares for a long time. After she got over the nightmares, she ended up talking to Vergil again and learned to trust him again, and she became very fond of him. When James was following her around being a creeper, she ended up staying with him, which .. then led to them dating for several months. Then ... he went home. TO BURN IN HELLLLLL. He came back, was an enormous dick, and then she lost all her memories of him as a second permanent loss. After that she just kind of regarded him as a dick, and since he nearly killed Guts .. instant enemy :|
yoruichi ➛ Saved her a few times! She was cool. Ino was always amused by her trolling Guts as a cat.
yukiko amagi ➛ A very pretty girl! She's been helping out with her salon when she's not doing clinic stuff or hanging out with friends. Yukiko, watch out, you are her new project. Gonna make you ... POP-U-LAR ...
yuri lowell ➛ Finds him intriguing. He seems like someone who could keep up a really fun conversation.
Ino's full name literally means "Boar Within The Mountains". If you happen to find out and tease her about it? She will end you.
Actually, don't even mention the words "pig" or "boar" around her. She will get angry.
Her hobby, outside of ikebana, is shopping.
Her favorite foods are cherry tomatoes and chocolate pudding. She also likes Korean BBQ. She hates sashimi.
Her favorite phrase is "The many words of flowers" (花言葉の数々, Hanakotoba no kazukazu). Basically, she's interested in flower language.
She always wears the same pair of silver stud earrings - literally, she never takes them out. Asuma gave them to her as a gift for being promoted to Chuunin, so she treasures them.
She's also in possession of Asuma's scarf and hand blades.
Her hair is currently cut short very long. She flip-flops back and forth between extremely short and extremely long in Paradisa.
Has a pet Pokémon, a Spoink. She kind of finds it obnoxious, but takes care of it anyways. LOL. It is prone to stealing round and shiny things.
Is easily grossed out/offended by things like bugs, slugs, bodily functions, etc. She's such a girl.

Nothing is known about her mother - she is never seen or referred to. I've assumed that she is not present in Ino's life for whatever reason.
Changes her room frequently, but she has a big wall covered in photos from the Memory Plot. All the non-embarrassing, non-traumatic ones, anyways.
Always wears a skirt. Even in winter, she'll wear a skirt with leggings underneath. Pants are just not her style.
